Photoshop Fix - Can't Save As JPEG, JPG, PNG, etc File

With the new Photoshop update, some people can't save as JPEG, JPG, PNG, and other file types. Usually you can go to "File - Save As" then you select the file type, but Adobe Photoshop CC recently removed a lot of the file save options. The fix is go to "File - Save a Copy" or "File - Export - Export As" to give you the JPEG, JPG, PNG, and other file types. This Photoshop tutorial should help with this issue in 1 minute.

"Edit - Preferences - File Handling". Then select "Enable legacy Save as" is the more permanent "fix."

Thank you so I just installed Photoshop 2021 and panicked not seeing any PNG or JPG options. Exporting as legacy for WEB is compressed jpg and no option for PNG with transparency. Thank you again!

I FREAKING LOVE YOU! Literally struggle for over or around less an hour or so. Like FOR REALS! I have zero experience doing this, for better or worst people will find this comment. I ain't tech know-it-all and EVEN IF this is simple stuff for other beginners or people who know their stuff, that's fine.

But as someone who's stuck with a degree that I had no interest and say in this, I'm glad I am able to finish my gosh darn project. I'll update what grade once tomorrow morning basic graphic design class is over. Thanks to anyone who read this optional silly story of mine, but for real. Short, simple, and works. Finally!

I'm having an odd issue. Whenever I try to save as, nothing happens. No window pops out. Nothing. This is really frustrating for I can work on an image for 30 minutes and then not being able to save it means I have to re-do everything again. Any suggestions? I have a MacBook Air (M1, 2020), M1. The guy from Photoshop customer service tried to fix it and even remotely controlled my computer (something I'm not a fan of) but the problem came back again.

The option to save as jpg seems to have been removed in MS Windows 10 - and only Html is available for selection. this is very frustrating - MS did an MS Edge update just this morning 10/12/2023 and this is when the Html option only was revealed? Can you help possibly?

I have a problem. photopshop won't let me save at all, not in any formats at all. If I click the option "Save a copy", nothing happens. If I try to export it, nothing happens. HELP!! So I can save my photos PLSSSS

When I try the 2nd option it stops me from continuing and an error message shows up, is there a way around that ?

It just creates un-needed extra steps! Even with the first solution, you now have to delete the "_copy" added in the title... Adobe?! -___-'
