I have been an auto mechanic for 40 years.
The owner of the van is responsible for normal up keep of the van, if he rents it. out.
An a/c compressor locking up is normal wear and tear.
The entire old r-12 a/c system does not need to be converted to the R-134. You just change the a/c fill caps to the newer style.
Evacuate and recharge the system with R-134.
Baam your done.

JJ does not nderstand that just because a vehicle is old and not much value by Blue Book if it runs and gets you where you need to go it is worth everything to you. She on the other hand probably never drives a vehicle over two years old.

I thought he was going to say she destroyed the tires or drove it without the proper amount of oil(thus seizing the engine). However, his repairs sound like general maintenance or something that just wears out over time. Why would the Defendant be responsible for that?
