SHS years changed me a lot. I was an introverted student before during my elementary and JHS years. Sa sobrang studious ko wala akong masyadong social life. My classmates saw me as clumsy, weak, and I even get chosen last when it comes to class dance contest kasi ang tamlay ko daw sumayaw. I also joined track and field sports for 3 years at palaging akong bench player lang (substitutr player). I even got excited when our coach told me to play since last year ko na yun (4th year JHS). Then at the last minute, sinabi nalang ng isang kateammate ko na hindi nalang daw ako lalaro for the 100m dash (they didn't believed in me pero di naman napasok kahit 3rd place yung kasubstitute ko lol). That time I realized I needed to change a school. And that decision changed who I am and it made me a better version today. I was more sociable and even boosted my confidence that I don't feel shy talking to people or strangers. So if there's anyone out there who wants to change. Take a leap and change your environment.

As the first batch of K-12, SHS was a god send that allowed me to sort out my personal issues. Those 2 years were very important in my development and due to that i graduated cumlaude in my university.

Senior high school was like my second chance to have life, i wasn't really the "best" kind of student in high school with always missing assignments, and not paying attention in class, i did have friends, but not lasting ones. It all went down hill when quarantine started and i lost all motivation to go to school, do homework and even go to the online classes, two years i did nothing and got grades that were nothing to brag about, in fact it was so bad i was almost held back for a year. The disappointment my parents had when they heard it was soul crushing, they weren't even mad at me. Thats when i realized the sacrifices they made for me and how terrible of son i was. Luckily my teachers we're kind enough to give me a chance to redeem myself, and long story short, i passed and went to senior high, where i turned my life around, became one of the top student of my class and school, with being one of the top 50 students in my graduating batch. Now im looking forward to my life in college

My parents didn't care for shs very much hahaha. But as a college student right now, sobrang grateful ako sa shs. Parang mas madali mag adjust to college life since shs gives you an idea of what to expect

Flashback 2018, all freshmen students (1st year college) and graduating senior students (4th year college) were all the same age. I was one of those freshmen, but I never regretted going through SHS as my social skills started to grow during that period

Tbh i think shs was perfect. By the time you reach college youve matured a little bit more (hopefully) and are now aware of the responsibilities you have. Also its a good move because it helped the philippine education system keep up with the rest of our neighbor's educational system.

a teacher of mine said we were lucky naabutan namin ang senior high. i’ve only ever seen older people express negative sentiments about it so this is new. he said the person he was when he was 16 and when he was 18 were completely different. if his 18-year-old self ang sumalang sa college, things would’ve been different since he was much more mature, and it would’ve been the perfect time for transition. i thought the same for myself as well.

imo, as an incoming SHS student, it does feel necessary since JHS just feels so lacklustre in terms of the things we learn in it, and having SHS to expand our knowledge ans have choices to prepare us for the college courses we take is definitely a big plus.

Experienced the worst of it, Covid started, never got my foot to experience 2 years of it, stopped a year after "pasang awa" through to it, studied NC2 Electrical House Wiring in TESDA, now I'm a 1st year BSIT student and a Dean's Lister, never been happier than ever, since I already experienced that low point.

My SHS days were the best.

In my JHS days, i was an introvert and a full on outcast. No one likes me, and no one wants to interact witg me. But SHS gave me a chance to change. Intelectually, i got better, because of better learning styles. But most importantly, my social placing got better; my tall, and bully body, culli ary skills i learned during the pandemic, and my semu protective nature, made me the class Dad, looking out for everyone. SHS was the most memeorable pre college life i have

Was part of the very first batch of the K12 program and I would say it was beneficial for me. That 2 year buffer really helped me to be prepared for college. Idk how I would've done in college if I entered at 16 years old. I sorted out my problems before entering college.

3rd batch kami ng SHS, and it does changed me as a whole. Graduating student na kami ngayon, and SHS does helped me find what I really desire for my future, for what to dream about for my family, for myself, for everyone na nasa paligid ko. SHS year's my one of the core memories to never forget. Alam mo na gagawin mo when approaching college, as you know what to do first.

Aside from being helpful for my course, SHS was a memorable time as a teen for me. I actually got to enjoy school because of it.
