Sonic Adventure (Dreamcast) playthrough ~Longplay~

This is a playthrough of Sonic Adventure for SEGA Dreamcast (timestamps below).

Sonic Adventure has been one of my favourite games for many, many years now, and I felt the run of SADX from a few years ago wasn't enough for my liking.

The original Dreamcast release may run at a lower framerate than DX and lack some quality-of-life features like skippable cutscenes and a second analogue stick for better camera control, but I absolutely adore the more atmospheric textures and lighting that sadly didn't make it over to the GameCube and HD ports.

This is Sonic Adventure at peak soul.

Bruhh this game is in my heart forever i swear 😭 I remember my 1st time beating it as a kid. It had to be summer I dont remember going to school. I was by myself. My Parents recently split. My 2 sisters were at my mom's. I went to my Dads for summer my sister left her Dreamcast there I had nun else to do i turned it on & MAANNN😌 I just sat there & beat the whole game w/ everybody except BIG 🤣 was too young the fishing for froggy was too hard. Had to comeback in 2018 to tie up that loose end 😁 Only to be blown away much older to discover u can be SS fighting Chaos at the end🤯 I was excited as my kid & my nephew cuz all this time I never knew till then 🤣

I bought a Dreamcast the day it came out in 1999. I was a Junior in High School. First system I bought with my own money. Back then I never purchased Sonic Adventure. But I bought it just recently for my Son who is a huge Sonic fan and man this game is way better than I expected. Sega did they thing on this game. I havent played Sonic Adventure 2 yet but so far the best Sonic game Me and my Son has ever played is Sonic Adventure and to think that this was supposed to be a Sega Saturn release at first. From 95 to 2000 in my opinion Sega was putting out quality that Nintendo or Sony couldnt touch as far as next generation. The Saturn may have not sold as well but when you look at the 97 and later games on it. You could tell that Sega was a head of Nintendo and Sony when it came to next level graphics and gameplay and not to mention great soundtracks. Business wise I think it was a good move from Sega to not release Sonic Adventure (Sonic Extreme was the first name), Virtura FIghter 3 and Shemue on the Saturn and move all the plans to the Dreamcast even though all 3 games would have been awesome and great on the Saturn too. By 97, 98 Sega really knew how to push the Saturn. Games like Fighters Megamix is a testimony.

I loved this game. I remember playing it before I owned a memory card, so I would play for hours just to start over again for the first few days before my parents got me one. I didn't care one bit if I played the same levels 10 times over. So goddamn fun.

The first level of this game was one of the last videogames to truly make me drop my jaw, I got this for my 13th birthday in February 2000 and was in absolute disbelief that something that looked this good was in my house. To compare this to Donkey Kong 64 at the time was ridiculous

The Dreamcast was an incredible machine. Such a shame how it was treated and Sega should come back into the system market. They did awesome in my opinion

I turned 9 when I got this for Xmas on Sega Dreamcast (a console truly created before its time). By far, my favorite game of all time! The storylines, the versatile activities, and not to mention, the exceptional graphics! And who remembers raising and breeding Choas? That was also a highlight of my childhood... always wished there was game just for Choas. Watching this video just puts a huge smile on my face bc the nostalgia is hitting hard! Thanks for this video!

Sonic Adventure is still really great and this is something from Sonic X with Characters like Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, Big, Tails and Gamma who are ready to stop Chaos and The Voice cast is amazing!
