Galaxy A13 & A14: Forgot Password, PIN or Pattern? Let's Factory Reset!

I show you how to factory reset (hard reset) a Samsung Galaxy A13 (same for A14) 5G smartphone if you forgot your password, PIN or Pattern or it does not work. Note you will lose all your personal settings, data, photos, videos etc so if anything is important hopefully you have a back up. Also remember if you have a google account (gmail account) synced to the phone you will need that gmail/password info to complete setup after the reset. Hope this helps.

So what do you do if you dont remember the original pin code/pattern etc., & you don't have access to the original gmail, just trash it? Because the phone is basically useless at that point? Or is there anything one can do? Please help.

Travelled a long way to get help for my new phone, which needed a PIN when I switched in on, four weeks after purchasing it. I travelled by train to one of the phone company's high street shops in Stratford. I was told it would cost me £25, and they were too busy to help me. I would have to make an appt after five days. I am elderly with severe breathing problems. Poor customer service! When, I got home, I searched on the Internet. I looked at several sites, which were not useful. This site, I understood within seconds. It took me no more than five minutes maximum. Thank-you for your brilliant instructional site. I and others are impressed at your skill set.

I don’t have a Laptop but I have IPhone, then I put my lightning cable into my phone and usb c in Samsung . It’s worked 😂❤

PS A helpful relative used my email and password at Christmas to make a PIN number for me, without telling me. He subsequently totally forgot ever doing it. Thus, I was shocked when, I put my new Simm in that a PIN was needed to activate the phone. Thanks to this site, it all ended well.

I did this and it says " if your phone is reset it you may need to enter the Google account information (email address and password) associated with this phone to be able to use it again" So I keep hitting factory reset and the same message pops up. What can I do?
