6 tops, 6 bottoms, 14 undergarments, 2 jackets, 3 shoes, 3 winter accessories, 1 purse, 1 pair of glasses, 1 wedding band, 1 engagement ring. For a grand total of 38 items that go on my body.
No toxic closet monster for me, thanks to you all…👍🏻😍

The hospital where I work as a nurse recently switched to everyone wearing the same grey scrubs. At first, I was disappointed and upset about not being able to wear my cute, colorful scrubs. However, I've since realized how freeing it is, just as you mentioned, to be able to pick out any top and pants from my collection and know they will work for the day. It really just sets the day off right! ❤

Each of you separately are great, but synergistically, the three of you together are just another level! I've been a member of Take Your House Back for a year, and my home has been transformed. Thank you, ladies 🥰 I love how the all-day-declutter feels like spending the day with three of my best friends. I found Dawn through Rachel Cruze, then I found Cas and Dana through Dawn. Thanks for taking the time and effort to make these videos. I love hearing you three laugh together.

I do the opposite with my hangers. I live in New England so we have all 4 seasons. Every season I put the clothes in the closet the right way. After I wear something I turn the hanger backwards. If I want to reach for a backwards hanger but still have front facing ones I know they are to be donated. My wardrobe is so well done now this no longer happens! Yay! I also keep only one project (paint stained) outfit for each cold or warm weather. I also have 2 bottoms (long for cold) (Capri or shorts for summer) and two tops (long sleeve for cold, short sleeve for warm) for lounging or hanging at home. I didn't think I would get there, but I did. The best tip for coming up with a style is to take 30 days and write down every thing you wear, along with how you felt in the outfit and what activity was going on that day. After the 30 days come up with 3 words that explain your clothes. Mine is comfortable, lightweight, and structured. I like simple not fussy. When shopping for clothing an item must fall in line with my 3 words or it stays at the store. XO

Thank you for addressing the weight fluctuation wardrobe instead of saying keep what you wear now. I'm in the fluctuation group and have a 3 size range. I also appreciated advice to put colors together, then see what can go.

When I’m hung upon a piece of clothing, It’s very helpful to wear it. Go out in it…just to the store for a hour. It’s very enlightening and the decision usually becomes very clear. Bam! ETA: I just heard you suggest this at the end of the video. Great minds think alike! It works.

This is so hard for me and a real hang-up. In tears watching you Ladies today. After going through breast cancer, learning to dress my new body has been one of the hardest things. You all have made it so much easier, even if I'm slowly doing the clothes. I don't have the energy anymore to do seasonal swaps so I invested in a few long ottomans. They are placed by the side of my bed. I put my winter nightgowns, sweaters and holiday "ugly" items in them. Lol. This has helped. If my winter clothes don't fit in the bins, I have too much. Thank you all for being a light in my life during a difficult time. I love you all even though we've never met. ❤️

Lol ~ at myself! For years, quite frankly before seeing your videos, I've been encouraging friends to declutter (I call it de-crapping!) The one word I repeatedly used was...be 'RUTHLESS' with yourself! Then, after the work is done, maintain & buy very little more. Be SELECTIVE only with new items. ♡

I have 30 identical tops, 10 identical jeans, a drawer full of identical underwear, socks, etc. I wash an entire batch of only tops, or only jeans, etc. There's no decision fatigue, and there's minimal laundry/care.
Yes, I keep other outfits for going out to dinner or parties etc, but my standard daily uniform is decided. The special clothes don't get worn out with day to day life. It's a different kind of minimalism. I love it.

I'm ruthlessly decluttering all aspects of my home right now. We've lead a minimalist lifestyle for about a decade now but during this season of life I feel like I spend waaaay too much time putting things away, doing laundry and generally just managing things. I can't! I don't have the bandwidth! So we're going even further in our minimalism and it feels SO great. Even when you think there aren't any more things that could possibly leave, you find something. Several bags have left our home the last few weeks. And as usual, now that they've left I don't really remember what they were. It's wonderful!

Decluttering on laundry day can be helpful. Whatever is still clean/on hangers is much more likely to be the stuff you would rather not wear. And if the closet is still full on laundry day you have a lot more clothing than you need.

I'm a new subscriber and I'm thrilled with this content. While I was watching this video, I was taken back to 1978 when I started college. My closet wasn't full and I soon realized I was poorer than my dormmates. I ironed my clothes everyday so I looked the best I could. Now, I have plenty and my car's trunk is full, ready for a delivery to my local thrift store. I appreciate the inspiration. Continued blessings!

With one of my teenage daughters, I had to ask her to create a seasonal space. She'd get rid of all her winter clothes because she wasn't wearing them. Then winter would come and she didn't have anything and we don't have the funds to replace things. She now puts seasonal items in a bin and then during that season she can declutter the things she just really doesn't want.

I have six children and they each have six different clutter/decluttering styles. It's fascinating to see how each of them maintain things differently.

I started going through my closet and got a box of nice clothes that don’t fit, suit, or excite me. It’s in the back of my car to drop off this afternoon. They’re going to the Women’s Center for women who need interview and professional clothes. I gave them a dozen pairs of shoes I haven’t worn since I stopped working in the law office at the beginning of the pandemic.

I don’t want to throw out excellent condition quality clothing and certainly don’t have the bandwidth to consign them. It feels good knowing women in tight circumstances will have a variety of good items to pick from.
