Why load testing a circuit is important

This vehicle had inop wipes. As you could see I had proper voltage, but after load testing the circuit you could see that the circuit integrity was no good.

I have a collection of “test lights” I took from people because they accidentally bought a “test probe” thinking it was a “test light”.

was that a 35w bulb? i just bought a few test lights and i have a led light to test sensitive electronics only puts out 0.03a, a regular test light that puts 0.30amp just for checking for power/ground. a heavy duty test light with a 1.75a for load testing and the monster for the bigger wires and loads that need a bigger amp draw its a 4amp bulb used to load test.This and a few random tail lights/high beams in my bag

the reason i made so many is because i want to draw a little more amps from the circuit im testing then the device draws.so if the device draws 1.5amp i put my 1.7a test light to load test.if it lights then i know the wire has no trouble turning on device.t5he big monster used for like headlights/heater circuits pretty much...

When load testing do you have to play around with different bulbs to create a higher amp draw or is it pretty safe to say that most of the time a smaller 1.0amp/2.1amp bulb will suffice.

If all you have is a meter, voltage drop the component under load.
