How I load test a wire. I have a special made 55 watt test light I use to test the integrity of the wire. Make sure you know where you are in the circuit! Use a wiring diagram! Be sure you know what you are doing before you go putting power and ground to things! One mistake can burn up one or more things!!!

Loading a wire to test its integrity is the best way to test it... rather than just a resistance test that the service manual suggests! Great info!

im looking to make a 4amp test light for this purpose is your 55w halogen?all i can find are halogen and most that look to fit in a test light are from 12v garden lights.
