I wanted to keep this vid as short as possible cause personally i learned quicker from shorter tutorials. So, apologies for the whack explanation for everything :’)) i left links in the desc for more helpful tutorials 👍👍

Also sry i didn't emphasize it in the video, but pls dont be afraid to post referenced works :)) i know that the og artists are not entitled to the poses they draw but just think of leaving credit in the description as an act of gratitude. it only takes seconds to copy paste a link from where you referenced from + it'll save u from getting attacked by ppl (sadly there are many who attack artists for referencing so i just learned to adapt). PLEASE don't be discouraged to reference ok bye

I really respect the disclaimers you put about unethical artist behaviors and acknowledging your own mistakes in your journey to becoming a great artist. We need more honesty and transparency like that in the artist community!! <3

Oh my god... You literally combined and simplified a what could have been a 100+ hour expensive masterclass and gave it for free.. Also your style and process is very similar to mine and this increased the value to me to an incredible extent. This video is gold.. I cant express my gratitude enough! Informative, Helpful, Brief and Humorous! Absolute Perfection!

U ARE SO CORRECT W THE LAYERS !! i'm 5 months in to digital art and when i first started, i had way too many layers. like one for lineart, base color, shading, highlight, and every tinyy part of the drawing, and i could not keep track of them 😵 then i had the idea of not giving a f with lineart and merging all the layers together. it was magic! and very freeing :D drawing digitally now feels and looks like painting in oil and i love it so much

This video gives me hope for the newest and future generation of artists. It's so nice seeing a young artist like yourself giving importance to the real essential things. Don't waste time, more isn't always better, be respectful of other artists, learn to observe and translate into your own lines instead of mindlessly replicating. Really, great advice.

Calling references cheating is equivalent to "hey i need you to drive to this place today. What? You're going to use a gps? No that's cheating."

The coiling thechnique is the best thing that's happened to artist since the beginning of times

the editing is really clean and your art look so cool i think tracing is good for breaking down drawings into simpler shapes but love the tips :DD

To me, trying to find your art style while sucking at art to begin with is like trying to find a paper clip in the amazon rainforest while drunk

Tracing can be quite useful if you try to understand how it's made instead of only tracing lines. What I mean by this is instead of blindly tracing lineart, try to find shapes, form and rhythm/gesture in a drawing. Try to figure out how it works, deconstruct it! I used to do this sometimes when I started studying art and it personally helped me. This is a great video btw!

you're seriously SO good at explaining things with a sprinkle of humour.. this is the kind of realistic advice that helps young artists find their own way into the art world. Thanks for the good tips (oh and also I really wanna eat your art, gah dayum it's so pretty) 🤯🤯😎

it has been one of the worst issues i had for like last two years, but I'm finally getting out of it! it's part of learning a skill after all
also amazing video, these tips are very good

If you're not actually tracing, and just using someones art as a reference, but they think you're tracing...that's really on them and their false assumptions.

I love watching videos for artist while not being one myself. I don't know what it is but I just find it fun to see a part of a hobby that I know absolutely nothing about. Your art looks amazing and the video itself is really well made! It reminds me a lot of tppo which I don't think is a bad thing at all, especially if you're starting out with making videos. All in all, I really liked this and I can't wait for what you'll make in the future👍

Just within about 6 minutes, I’ve already learned a lot. Thanks for the short yet meaning video tutorial! This is super useful for artists even if they aren’t a beginner anymore.

tysm for this!!! i can never watch any art video for over 10 minutes bc it just becomes boring and beyond my understanding by then so the length and minimalism of this video is SUPER helpful imo
