The second part of Crease Pattern class 1 covers a very common level shifter. The Crease Patterns shown in this video are linked below.

I am extremely excited to be bringing the crease pattern class to you all! Leave a comment for improvements you would like to see in the next video! These videos are for you all so I want to deliver what you want to see :)

I always folded using diagrams (or video tutorials...) but CP are really opening me a new fantastic world!
I was able to collapse the 16x16 grid and I was so happy when I accomplished it! Thank you for this fantastic class!

cant thank you enough for this incredible content. i made the 16 grid challenge - it was tricksy but i got there. you're doing a brilliant job here

It's definitely right to take a few classes once you've understood the structure .I mean you can do photo process and diagrams but it's the understanding that gives the conference to tackle a model and reduce the time during the precreasing

Great video / series. I think it's great you give one so many exercises to try the things out. Same with the explanations you give, they're neither too much, nor too little. The last model was fun and, thanks to your advice of it being better to start in the middle, no problem to do. Thank you for the wonderful content!

I really like these videos, for a moment I thought it was an advanced design tutorial using Box Pleating, because they really help to understand technical details not only in CP folding, I would like to help with the translation of subtitles, it seems important that many more people can understand everything you are explaining. Excellent work, keep it up.

I just finished the exercise with the 16x16 grid! It was hard and challenging for me, but I got it done!!! Your videos are great with everything very well explained. Please! Keep up! 🤩 🤩 🤩

Really loving these explainations of how to do basic things like pre creasing and shaping. Not many other people do this and it's quite annoying. Thank you so much for another video!!

Seriously this is important. Learning the "choreography" of folding the sequence of steps is needed to better understand both diagrams and crease patterns.

Found you through reddit! I've been folding origami models from youtube tutorials or diagrams, I think these classes for CP will help me fold more models! maybe I'll design my own origami models! Thanks!

In hindsight, trying this with a broken arm definitely made it harder than it had to be... Its a great class, and even if my shapes are a little messy its easy to follow along so far, youre great at explaining the process!

YES! I did it! Absolutely great stuff, thank you so much Boice! It really helps to really understand origami (a bit ...) :-) On to lesson 2 now!

I managed to fold the challenge, however I have a question. Will there always be crease patterns that end up not completely following the crease lines? I noticed there is a mountain fold near the "head" that isn't shown on the crease pattern. Right next to the two valley diagonals(above the one at the bottom of the pattern).

Boyce, or Wong, do not know your first name : thanks a lot for this clear explanation. First time for me it is so clear how to fold the basic box pleating structures. i hope you will continue with more specific details, and eventually later with shaping the results.

I think I got the beetle, but I ended up with 3 square and a point antennae, 1 square jaws, and a *3 square long* head, and I’m not sure if that’s right. As far as I can tell I collapsed everything correctly within the pattern I was given. But it looks like your example collapse has a 2 square long head. Keep in mind I’m not printing these patterns, I’m free handing them by trying carefully to study the picture of the pattern on the screen.
I guess it’s a success? I mean it generally accomplished what you were getting at.
