@3:21 - As a "What if?": There is a Seiko-Epson logo on all four of the five VGA chips used in PS/2s - IBM's markings are only on the "silver-cap" VGA chip of the 'Type 1' and 'Type 2' of the Model 80, and the 8-bit VGA adapter. Seiko-Epson also did the MCGA video chips of the Model 25 and Model 30. It could be IBM code masks on the chips, but the design of VGA maybe was contracted out.

@5:56 - "DBA ESDI" - It's a modified ESDI configuration. DBA ESDI drives were on the 50Z, N51SX/N51SLC (in a laptop reduced size as IDE did later), 55SX, CL57SX (reduced size again), 70, P70, and 8590 'Type 0". The Model 53SLC2 also has a DBA ESDI connection (since the riser is from a 55SX), but there is planar IDE on that model.

@8:30 - Your pins came out easy, after all these years those pins can be seized and easily broken

@10:00 - The 287 is run at the full 10MHz speed of the CPU on the Model 50, 50Z, and 60 - On the IBM AT, XT 286, Model 25 286, and 30 286, the 287 is run at two-thirds of the CPU (even though the 25 286 and 30 286 also run their CPUs at 10MHz).

@10:18 - The slot has the AVE (auxiliary video extension) for the 8514/A adapter - XGA and XGA-2 have a BVE (base video extension) that wouldn't fit in the AVE area of the microchannel bus.

@13:35 - The Model 70 was initially released as a 16MHz 386DX system.

@13:47 - "Models" depends on how the submodels are separated...

Quick question: I saw this on a reference page: "Power supply: 94w, 110-220VAC auto sense " so a machine purchased in the USA (120v) would work fine in Australia (240v) - no need to switch etc?
