History of the IBM PS/2 30 286 Computer, released in 1988. The computer used an 80286 processor running at 10Mhz, and came standard with 512K of RAM. You could add a 20 to 40 MB HDD to compliment the 1.44 MB FDD. The computer had three ISA slots to expand the capabilities of the computer by adding sound, network, or memory cards.

This was my first computer, and what started my path to enter a tech career decades ago, so this computer will always have a special place in my memory. I am glad that I was able to find one that I could use again along with my Roland MT 32 sound module, and games such as Space Quest III, which I feature at the end of this video.

Very nicely done video! Very informative and well paced. Your video clarity and editing was quite good too. Enjoyed it.

I have bad memories of using VGA cables. A pain to connect and a pain to disconnect. Thank god for USB

The root user, these look like some good old RS 232 serial cabling ports in the video, DB 25? Did I guess correctly? Would those ports connect to a switch or a old hub?

IBM monitors with VGA connectors makes since. Just read that IBM created the VGA analog 🔵 blue, 15 pin, cabling connector in 1987. Legacy technology can still be required learning.
Nice job 👍 Root user.
