One thing to mention: I grabbed most of these mods along with the photorealistic ENB and was having an issue with really weird almost fuzzy terrain in areas that had grass texture or fine gravel. At first I thought it was something with the grass mods, it wasn't. The ENB adds a feature called complex parallax to the terrain, the skyland texture overhaul doesn't support complex parallax so it made the terrain super bugged out. You can get graphical overhauls that work with complex parallax or just turn it off by setting it to false in the enbseries file in your skyrim folder. Hope this saves someone some time figuring that issue out

Ok this is really what I've been looking for, a systematic visual improvement guide. Uncluttered by things that modify the base game too much. There's really not enough vanilla plus stuff out there, everyone wants to mod the game in to an unrecognizable mess. This is what I want... Just a base game that has completely updated looks. Very nice!

I am so glad to have come across this guide - you explain it very simply, straight forward, no need to pay (some people do that), and you keep it simple. Last guide I went through added some really strange mods that weren't that immersive and I didn't know until it was too late. I'm wiping Skyrim and trying your list right now!
