One time my cat came home absolutely covered in mud and spiderwebs. Turns out she managed to open the door to the crawlspace and had the time of her life

The worst part is when you wash them a few days before and they do this 😩

And this is only part of the reason cats should never be roamimg at large!
If your cat really enjoys the outdoors, catios and harness training are wonderful options, otherwise, your cat should be indoors at all times.

I am of the personal and staunch belief that if you cannot enrich your pets life indoors to ensure they are happy, healthy and comfortable, you aren't ready to have a pet.

In fact where I live it is completely illegal to let your cat roam at large knowingly. Your cat will be picked up and taken to the local SPCA or Street Cat Rescue, and placed under their care until you retrieve your pet. One time a lady called the police on the street cat rescue because someone found her cat roaming without a collar, trapped it, and brought it in, where it was placed under a temporary 5 day foster care. She was fined on three charges. Wasting police time, animal neglect, and a violation of city bylaw. Her cat was returned to her within three hours of being taken into the rescue.

I am so happy and proud you are making an effort to keep your kitty indoors, and I wish them a happy and long life.

I don't know what I'd do if my kitty roamed at large.

Glad to see so many people having their cars indoor only. Cats are both prey and predator, and our outside enviroment isnt friendly to them.

The worst is when cats lay under car's and get oil, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, radiator fluid on them 😿😾but that's just dirt on Patchy in this video 😼 🚿 😺🐀

I don't think you can really complain about it when you let your cat outside to destroy some wildlife. Keep it indoors or use a leash

I live in a desert kind of area and so whenever my cats go outside they come back with sand and mud all over them

Please don't let your cat outside without a leash, they could get hurt plus it's bad for the environment because they like to hunt birds and other animals and could lead to those going extent, plus it's not really safe out there for a cat, a dog could attack them they could get hit by a car or attacked by another cat(my mom's cat was almost killed by another but thankfully it was up under his arm tho he could have lost it)

I had a black cat that loved to roll around in the dirt that accumulated at the end of our driveway. he'd come inside more brown than black.

Whenever my little boy gets home its a dice roll if hes in a good mood. Usually fine with me. But its the days when he comes home full of plant seeds 😖

My cats have never come in looking that dirty. They usually only have a leaf or two, and the occasional snail.
