Catahoula Helps Stop Golden's Seizures || ViralHog

"Laker, a golden retriever, has been suffering from seizures since he was around 3 months of age. Laker was diagnosed with seizures around 6 months of age by a dog neurologist and was placed on seizure medication. Since then, his seizures have become more controlled. At times, he will have episodes of running and crying with extreme confusion. These seizures are called psychomotor seizures.
Recently, I purchased a Furbo dog camera and it picked up Roxy, Catahoula cur, stopping Laker from an episode. She is not trained to do this but these two have a bond that I have never seen. They check on each other throughout the day and truly love one another. Roxy is protective of all of us in the home so it’s no surprise that she helps him but still such a blessing and surprise that she can."

Oh. My. Gosh. I am just so amazed at how intuitive and naturally aware dogs are. These dogs didn’t take it personally. Just a little “hey dude it’s alright” and then they shaked it off.

My cousin has two dogs, one of whom has seizures, when ever he starts to have one the second dog barks to get people's attention and then lays down beside/on top of the other dog until a person comes to look after him. It's really cool because the dog figured out what to do to help all on his own.

I have an old cat and we finally got close after years of not caring for each other, like 16 years. The kids all left the wife is to busy for anything but her business dealings. So it was me and the cat now, and we got close and fell in love with each other then one day she walked up on my chest and sat down and starred into my eyes and started to cry tears right in front of my face and I was absolutely shocked and wondered what she was thinking. Well a few weeks later I found out I had 9 blockages in my arteries. I thought I was a dead man walking. I believe My little cat could sense that I was in trouble and was saying goodbye to me. Long story short I had a quadruple bypass and my cat was by my side the whole time and two years later I had to say goodbye to her. Probably one of the worst days of my life. She died in my arms looking into my eyes like she was saying I love you. Animals are angels.

This is a great example of why I always say, never underestimate of how smart fur babies can b. They have very good instincts too. I love how quickly the other dog helped the golden retriever like as if he's saying "relax ur having one of those attacks but everything is fine" ♡♡♡

just got off work to watch some cute videos, this isn't cute but the fact that dog realized what was happening so fast and took control of the situation...i'm honestly baffled and LOVE these dogs so much! The bond and friendship here is beyond absolute!
