There are a lot of other great healers But Mercy is not only the easiest to learn, but the most impactful Overwatch hero in Overwatch 2. Playing Support is a rough job but someone has to do it and I will teach you day by day, how to perfect your Overwatch 2 Healing Skills! I just started playing Mercy and the amount of people that go “I need healing” after running behind enemy lines and sitting in the corner of a room away from LOS is absolutely infuriating

3 rules to play as Mercy

1) Better not be swapping to a gun while team is is critical condition
2) Better not be in front of your team
3) Better not die until your the only one left

These are the rules!! you might survive and get MVP even but you are a TERRIBLE Mercy if you do not do these things!

If playing comp

1. Heal whole team but usually stay with dps to damage buff (don’t reveal flanks) other healer helps with the rest
2. When using ULT her gun has infinite ammo and does 2x damage
3.) always take cover and use movement effectively

to any future mercy mains: blue beam should be your default. only swap to heal when necessary.
know when to swap blue beam targets.
you dont need to know all the tech. the most important is knowing when to stop your ga short, where/when to slingshot, and when to superjump.
high ground is your best friend.

This was really helpful for a beginner like me! The game can be really confusing to keep up with in the moment, so a commentary/breakdown like this is really appreciated. I just tried Mercy yesterday and hopefully this will make me a bit better of a support today 😁

You made a lot of good points. I’d say this video is almost as important to tank/dps.

Too many times I see a player solo flanking away from the team, out in the open with no cover, then spamming “I need healing.” Then, unless your teammates realize otherwise, it looks to them like you’re not doing your job properly as a healer.

Instead of standing there getting beat up and calling for heals, go and find your healer! Sometimes as dps, I’ll walk over and stand directly in front of an Anna so she has no choice but to heal me. Healers aren’t your personal invincibility star from Super Mario. We’re not likely to ditch the other 3 players just so you can try and top the elimination charts.

Having said that, there’s nothing I love more than damage boosting a flanking soldier who’s about to pop his ult 👍

thank you so much for this!!! i am a complete beginner to fps in general (though i have kept up with overwatch for many years) and the breakdown really really helped. i played a couple of games today with some of my friends (most of whom are also new to the game) and this helped me realize that one of the things we were not doing was sticking together when we had a mercy (me). ty again!

This video is more like analyzing his own gameplay. Not a high level one at that.

Hi! Things like this help me out a lot. I usually use Valk to go after the Widow or Hanzo, or just an enemy that's low on health. I need to work on my aggression if I wanna get back to my original rank! I was low Diamond on console, so I'm trying to get my rank back. :)

Im a healer main too and i gotta say that we r the hidden carries of our team !!! u lost that match cuz of a cocky Hog and a 24/7 Seperation of the Team, kinda bad Setup for a Mercy. I would probably switch to a moira so u can use the orb to heal from far and cuz u would have a Disengage :) Ur tipps r very good and on point for Mercy, ty for ur content :)

That bit about peaking the corner _really_ made me oof cuz as somebody who's just got into playing mercy idk how many times that's happened to me where I'm abt one frame too late to catch somebody around the corner and they're just _gone_

As Mercy people are gonna target you, i recommend having good evasive movement, jumping strafing etc to try to stop this and stay alive

Random Mercy tip if a reaper jumps on your team and ults don't heal them damage boost as that's way more likely to stop him then trying to heal through it, that can go for other ults as well but reaper is a big one.
