It’s only five dollars, but for me It’s a gesture of recognition for the work you do and the mind you share with us all that I appreciate. I hope you continue to create content not only for my own selfish reasons, but for your own satisfaction of doing something you love as the in depth work and thought you put into these videos shows. Very thought provoking/expanding content which I very much appreciate. You are my later evening content consumption while relaxing, having a drink, and looking to unwind and open up the mind. All the best, take care!

The experience I had with ayahuasca was the closest to Ego death that I had. And you are right saying that such experiences are impossible to describe with words. You have to BE it to understand. During my experience I WAS mother earth, I was a hundred different animals with full awareness and without any thoughts. The plant medicine communicated with me and said life is really simple, don’t make it complicated. I asked it ‘can I eat meat?’ - ‘yes, you can eat anything’ it replied. Then I asked ‘what eats humans?’ - ‘Time eats humans’ it answered.

I experienced ego death when I underwent general anesthesia. When the chemicals entered my body, I was fully conscious and told myself that I shall do my best to stay awake.

Then, while I was contemplating how to accomplish just that...

..the doctor woke me up.

A truly amazing experience, being awake then being awakened! I did not even notice that I fell unconscious or that 4 to 5 hours have passed. So this is what it is to be dead. If the doctor did not wake me up for a million years it would not matter, it isn't that bad.

This experience compleetely removed my fear of death, forever!

This world has one constant and that is pain. Everything ends in pain. I want to go back to the void. It doesn't hurt there.

Man oh man, the first 10 mins of this video summarized some thoughts/feelings I've been having very recently so it really hit home. I thought I was the only person who had those kinds of thoughts, it's comforting knowing I'm not the only one.

This entire video gave me an epiphany that I have been searching for for years. Every topic you covered directly related to current problems in my life that I felt overwhelmed by. I’ve never left a comment like this before, but genuinely, thank you so much. This has inspired me to start working on myself again. I struggle heavily with procrastination and your point about death regrets and our free time really stuck with me. Just got to work an hour early, on a full stomach, ready to get a little workout in for the first time in a YEAR. I appreciate you more than you know sir. Thank you again.

Death never was mean to me. It is life that messes with my mind.

The problem with comparing birth to death is that at birth we are not self-aware or memorably conscious of our surroundings and the fact that we are alive and what we are losing in the face of no longer existing.
As we grow we come to experience, love, find ourselves and what we enjoy most. I know I will not experience death once I am dead but it is the lack of experience that scares me most, all the music I love that I will never hear again, my fiances face I'll never look upon or kiss, all the amazing things in the far distant future I'll never experience, advancements, events, the feeling of a cool breeze or the sun on my skin. I never want to lose that.

Grown up as a Hispanic American, in a Hispanic predominantly Spanish speaking family where it's encouraged and it's seen as a mark of manhood, maturity and growth to have children, at whatever age that happens. It's very hard to disentangle from that hard conditioning. In fact in that society it's even said that if you reach x age and don't have kids, something is "wrong with you". Well I'm in my 30s, I haven't had any. I don't have plans to have any. I don't even associate myself with that group anymore. I am no patriot of my parents country, nor of the US either. I don't have hard and fixed beliefs. I didn't even finish school. It took years to undo the psychological damage I experienced WITHIN the "family" itself, let alone the "outside" world. Years of reeducation, relearning and shedding of ideas that had been implanted in me since childhood. I'm an introvert and am alone about 99.9% of the time with the exception of having to do mandatory survival tasks. This video hits home for me because I lived and am living the perfect example of why just having kids is a bad idea. My own philosophy has been for a long time now, if I will bring a child yo the world just to go through what I did, I might as well never. Who knows I might make a good parent, maybe. But until I feel confident in that decision I won't do it and at this point it may never happen. I'm also done with the fomo mentality. I'm not missing out on anything just like my mother wasn't missing out on anything when she had me.

If I had a choice to be born in this world, I would say no. But now that I'm here and have established love and relationships, I'm going to play this game to the best of my abilities. But when I die (hopefully when I'm very old), I never want to come back to Earth at any capacity.

I'm glad to now know there's a name and group of people who share my beliefs on having children.

It's just a side note, but making your bed in the morning comes from disciplinairy militairy doctrine, in actual reality: leave your bed open so it can air. As humans sweat a lot in their sleep, leaving behind stuff, bacteria feed on that and I guess humid/warmth from a made bed right after sleeping in it is bad . Aerate so the bacteria can aerobically process the stuff and prevent anaerobic stuff

This is THE most EXCITING experience ever.
I'm experiencing 'born again', VERY HARD, and humbling but
so exciting. We'll worth everything.
