Your Hazard Perception Test 2023 Made EASY

Part of the DVSA theory test will be a hazard perception test. To pass the hazard perception test it isn't just about recognising a hazard it's also about understanding the stages of hazard and how to identify and react to the difference stages of hazard on the hazard perception test.

The Hazard Perception test, introduced in 2002, is an interactive test that assesses how well a learner driver can spot and react to various hazardous situation on the road.

In this video Francis Noakes the driving instructor gives an overview of why the Hazard Perception Test was introduced into the UK Theory Test, what to expect in the Hazard Perception Test and some real life examples and tips. We also explain the difference between Potential Hazards, Developing Hazards and Actual Hazards.

Wow! watching 5 of your videos for the first time yesterday, I got knowledge that pulled me through hazard perception by scoring 50 out of 75 the next day. The knowledge is don't click more than 3 or repeatedly even when the developing hazard is spotted. It works. many thanks.

Thanks for this. This clips are really clear. Some of the revision clips are grainy and horrible so sometimes not able to see little things such as head movements, indicators etc.

this was the only things i failed many time bcoz i checked but not freqvently . the main thing was ignor many things anf not clicked . but this video is very importent for me .Thanx alot

Its all CGI now for some reason. The CGI hazard test is actually much clearer to see far ahead than the real life clips. Back then in 2012 the hazrd tests didnt have the strict time window as you do now. I passed mine in 2012 second time. But the motorcycle hazard test im doing now something has changed the timing windows are harder.

Sometimes I do really well on hazard perception, sometimes I do really bad. Just need a method ti be consistent and differentiate btwn a potential vs developing hazard— test today!
