I approve of everything except removing the bones from the sardines. Not only are they edible but they are a great source of calcium. Apart from that I loved this recipe.

As a Die-hard fan of both fresh, diced tomatoes, canned sardines and a frequent drinker of olive oil doses (fatty liver treatment, Spanish discovery), this dish is a Must for me! But what I will Never do is remove the spines from the sardines! I enjoy their CRUNCH! Thanks for this Awesome recipe!!!

I think I would build that salad directly into a fresh baguette rather than than onto a plate. Around these parts it's darn near impossible to find any high quality canned sardines or tuna in pure olive oil but even using regular sardines this would be so nice. There's lunch for tomorrow.

Tienes que hacer XATÓ (bacalao atún anxóas olivas negras escarola y...la salsa de le da el nombre al plato, Xató. se hace en las poblaciones de Vilafranca del Penedès, Vilanova i la Geltrú, Sitges i Vendrell, aunque se esta expandiendo a Barcelona y otras ciudades. SALUT!!
