Know what’s really disappointing? There’s a great katana that looks like rivers or blood/eleonaras with the red/black blade, but it doesn’t have any Arc scaling nor does its unique ash have any blood theme too it

Dragon-hunter’s great katana also gets a pretty massive (something like 2x+) damage multiplier against dragon enemies btw

The art on the Solitude sword doesn't do anything for me. You swing down and it goes right through mobs with no impact

The Blackgoal Knight is literally Guts from Berserk. Like it's got to be an official nod to the manga at this point.

Rellana may be the best case of "playing as the boss" I've seen in a souls-like, barring player enemies.

The armor looks amazing, the twin ashes of war let you pull off her most signature, show-stopping moves. The requirements of her swords mean you basically need a dedicated build, but it also happens to be a *lot* of fun.

The stat split also allows for access to a pretty decent repertoire of Sorceries and Incantations, with Frenzied Flame Seal and Staff of the Great Beyond being standouts in a "finished" build for NG+.

I am pretty sure that the black steel greathammer passive doesn't scale with the holy affinity, just holy weapon buffs like sacred blade, so you might as well use the heavy affinity on it for better dmg.

I love the Black Knight armor. My favorite chest piece was the Altered Ronin chest, but I farmed the black knights (don't know if they drop the shield or if you get it elsewhere) and the chest looks amazing. Changed into it right away.

I found a incantation called electrocharge. Calls down lightning thats has lasting aoe and charges attacks. Think its meant for brawler gloves. And also poison hand

The weapons I was most excited for was the backhand blades that gives a cool assassin type vibe and they do not disappoint they are really good. I was also exited for beast claws and dry leaf arts but once I got them they felt underwhelming to me.

I beat the final boss with the backhand sword, that skill saved me a lot of times to be honest.
