For those of you wondering, yes, From Software have thought of everything with the new hand-to-hand combat: You can gallop up to an enemy, leap from the horse, R2 roundhouse kick them in the face and land on the ground.

Ghostflame drakes are extremely vulnerable to holy damage. If you're using an infusible weapon throw sacred blade on it, even without any investment in faith you'll double or triple your damage against them.

By the by, you can just use the Mohg/Morgott Shackle to activate the Spirit Springs. Don't even need to find the stone stack just use it near the spring👍💜

Spoilers for questlines moving
By the time you proceed just a little bit north of the Ensis castle you get a pop-up message. That's your warning that NPCs will move
You can go back at this point and talk to them to learn where they'll go and what they'll do and they should move on one by one after doing a few grace resets and talking to them again and again
As soon as I got that pop-up I stopped whatever I was doing and just doubled back to talk to everyone

I think the pot guys can drop scadutree and ash randomly even after the first time. I got a ton going through the Ruins of Rauh over and over.

First pot dude you’ll find is actually close by the furnace golem to the east of scorched ruins. Love the videos tho guys. Keep me coming

as far as the furnace golems go you can also use Radahn great bow for the same effect
only found out because i was one short for one of them ^^

3:00 wrong. There's one MUCH earlier than that in the first open area. He drops a Scadutree fragment, too, so well worth killing.

Frost weapons for furnace’s. There is one in the base game Zamor Curved Sword. Frost build up. 👍🏽

Additional tips for those who are struggling. I'm now on my 2nd playthrough of the dlc.

1. Use bows and consumables. This is paramount to easy success. Trust me.

2. For humanoid fights. Whip out Relic sword and spam Wave of piss. Stunlocks them and WILL kill them with no danger to yourself

3.USE HOLY DAMAGE. My god I can't overstate this enough. Base eldin ring holy is crap but for this dlc. My god is it potent.

4. Always have a poise break option. Bleeding bosses in this dlc is much harder than base game unless you spec exclusively into bleed. However alot of bosses are easily staggered with double bonk stick jump attacks

5. POISON. Just use it. Bring out a barrage bow and stack poison on beefy boys. This can be used to great effect on some bosses where you can hit and run

For all those struggling. Step back. Think. Strategy Is more relevant now than ever.

Do most of not all of us have the ability by now to buy smithing stones at roundtable? Hope the new smithscript spear works well. Kinda wish the weapons weren't more weak and enemies far more strong in DLC.

I love how this DLC feels more like a Dark Souls Title

I was excited for the DLC with a 99% completion (missed 2 items), but to be honest I'm not enjoying it as much as I would like. I'm overleveled at 230+ on a NG+0 run and I feel like I have to constantly spam ashes of war and swap my builds mid level to make it through.

First enemy I ever run into was tough as hell. Then I go further and fight a knight and get his armor and he was tough. Then I'm fighting the giant ass furnace golem. I'm like "WTF game, chill. This is supposed to be the starting area."

Now I'm a bit further fighting fire knights and they seem way harder than they need to be, each being like a mini boss or big enemy.

Use Arcane at 80 with occult/bleed weapons, so my main damage stat is essentially maxed out.

Resorting to Cold Bleed weapons and Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear for mob killing, but even then requires caution. I hope they do make some areas a bit easier, I'd rather not have to deal with a Limgrave sized Consecrated Snowfield.

Is there a place to buy more ancient dragon smithing stones or larval tears? Also do runes still matter in the DLC or only the DLC leveling mechanic? I just started so I’ve been trying to avoid even tip videos because I don’t want spoilers.
