Haven’t used Ubuntu in a long time but I tried this a few days ago and it’s rock solid for me. I don’t foresee coming back but love the progress.

Small correction: UBUNTU 20.04.4 LTS has Gnome 3.36.8, not 3.38.

I still have some bugs with the dock extension when clicking on multi Windows apps, but appart from that, it is a really solid and nice looking distro.

What's the point of the "all-new" flutter-based installer? It doesn't seem to provide any new features or even look better than the old one.

I didn't think I would, but I am really loving this version. So much so that I have it installed on a laptop that is fair old with upgraded RAM and NVMe drive. I do understand it is a mix bag of GNOME 42, and 41 apps and that makes sense as not all of the apps are ported over to GTK 4 yet and it being an LTS that is supported for years. Finally you get the option of not having the dock extend from edge to edge, which seems like me and few others suggested way back in 2018 right before 18.04 LTS.

Please rename the video title to include the "BETA" word. Alto the UI is likely frozen and final already, any other things are up to improvement and could change. Is not fair to review this until the "Release candidate" is ready.

I didn't see a "jellyfish" in that first wallpaper....

I am using kubuntu now. But I might go back to ubuntu because it gives 5 years LTS support instead of 3.

As much asi love the old logo... The new one doesn't bother me. Things change and that's okay. 😉

I use Ubuntu for couple of years (>15), but my favorite UI is XUBUNTU. I always have new LTS release, but from my side I don't see any "improvements", gcc/make/gawk/bash tools are working exactly in the same way :).

2:38 I really liked this wallpaper!! I really like the geometric design with just circular shapes, especially also that rings around that Hippo's head that suggest a water surface, because it looks almost like a planet with Saturn rings. Absolutely a favourite.

(Ubuntu is not my favourite distro these days, by I know it so well like we all do, and therefore I like to follow things)

6:43 No way!! Is this REALLY how they are going to sell there extra products? This pop-up is OBNOXIOUS. If this is true, where is this world going. I'm gonna leave ubuntu forever. That's worse than windows.
