The new MacBook Air will become the standard for mobile video content creators, as the unit is light, decently powered for video editing, and the price is right. Should be a slam dunk for apple.

We don’t know clock speeds or details on the M1 chip. I’m guessing it will be throttled or slow down once the Air gets hot. Whereas the fan in the Pro will be able to sustain faster speeds longer

Hey Luke! When you do your videos on the new M1 macs, can you do some tests on 'dev' related tasks (simple things, like installing stuff through homebrew) :) Would be great to have an idea how these things will work on the new architecture :)

My guess is that the Space Grey colour is reserved for an upcoming Mac mini Pro with more cores / 64 GB RAM / 10 GbE? At least I hope so

Like run photoshop, put windows in a VM, compile code in a program that is not Xcode (visual studio, eclipse, etc), use boot camp, run Linux, run a custom boot loader for multi boot configurations.

Virtual machines and Adobe pro apps won’t be available until next year, compilers will take even longer, and frankly the T2 security chip killed any custom bootloaders users might want to use.
