A big problem I had with my 7DTD is that it crashed constantly. The problem I had was that it ate all of my RAM (I have 16 gb DDR4 installed). This happened every time a wandering horde was spawned and happened during single-player as well as multiplayer. What helped me was to increase the size of my page file in Windows.

By setting my page file to double the size of my RAM, 7DTD has stopped crashing! So if you have 16gb, you want your Page file to be at least 32gb minimum and 32gb maximum. Mind that increasing the page file WILL eat up HDD space so make sure you have the space for it before doing it. It's a trade off really.

The page file is a hidden system file used by the Windows operating system. Windows stores data in this file when your computer's RAM fills up. The page file is often called "virtual memory" to distinguish it from RAM, which is "physical memory."

I play on medium preset with terrain, grass, and object quality to high.
Bloom on, DOF on, motion blur off, Ssao off, SS reflection off, sun shaft on.
I got like 50 fps even in urban areas.

Ryzen 5 5600g, Gtx 1050 (yes the 2gb version) and 16gb ddr4 ram.

Texture Filter is just the AF filter. Low is AF off, Ultra is 8x AF, and Ultra+ is 16x AF... Like in all games, there's no noticeable difference between 8x and 16x. UMA textures are the textures on other players wearing tintable armor/clothing/etc. If you're playing singleplayer it doesn't really matter. Standard reflections will hit the CPU hard (like any game... same with shadows), and there's literally no way to make a SS reflection shader look good (by definition the gpu shader would only have info available in screenspace, so yeah) so you might as well disable SS reflections forever because they're a bad idea. The things that'll hit the CPU hard are: distance and reflections (of any quality).

Mr REach, why even tho i got average 60 fps in Forest and desert biome even in city, but when in go do some Tier 6 Quest in wasteland and then screamer pops out then calling them another screamer that FPS is drop like 10 fps average, is that normal ?

I7 4790, gtx 1070, 16gb ddr3.
All textures low, shadows ultra +, view distance medium, all terrain medium, object quality high, all ticks off accept shadow projecting. Stays above 30fps even on horde night. Uma textures lowest seems to help with that.

what settings would u have everything for multiplayer pvp to have the best ability to fight better? i have all my graphics settings at bare minimum cos i get a lot of lag.. i noticed u can in a way get some advantage if u have lod distance / view distance to minimum u can actually see zombies hidden behind crates etc... cos it loads the zombie before the terrain.. so it gives you an advantage pve for knowing where hidden enemies are... i dunno if it works in pve... but its really bad for pvp out in the open cos when someone is far away u cant see them and they can see you

i have 4gb ram with barley and disk space combined with the oldest most crustiest graphics card and the game ran fine aint no way bro what typa miracle is this

Game runs for the most part fine for me. I7 10700K, GTX 1080 ti. I get on ultra about 90fps in the open but some areas in cities I get 24.... Absolute ass, That's purely poor optimization. Even switching it to lowest quality it hits 38

I think this game is aslo very cpu limited when you wanna play with more than 60 fps, like my rx 6700 never get more than 80% load whith 90-120 fps on high settings, i have r5 5600 with 32gb cl 18 3200 ram(yes cinda slow)

i got 16 gb ram gtx1060 6gb and an i7-8700 3.2 gb
runs the game fine but gets stuttery in citys and when lots of zombies pop up. hoping with the optmisations made in 21 it will be better. if not ill have to stop playing the game or stay on alpha 20
