This video was chock full of so many great reminders! First of all, thank you for taking the time to put it together and put it out there! Secondly, I think that my favorite part was that you defined what a parent's "job" is. This will definitely change the way I word things as a parent, as I have used the phrase "It's my job to...." while explaining things to my daughter. I look forward to changing that verbiage and reframing conversation with her and in my head!

So I have a 2.5 year old girl and a 1 year old boy. The elder one just wants to wear his clothes, fit into his shoes, speak like him, maybe even crawl. There are episodes of hitting too. She tells me that everyone plays with him, not with her(which is absolutely not true). Infact I pay more attention to her than the younger one. So here I come to the part of 'Loving them is different that them feeling loved'.
I just don't want her to be bitter about me or her sibling. Is there anything else that I could do?

Hello Dr. Paul.. I need some help.. I have two toddlers. The caretaker of my kids always says that they eat well, are well mannered etc. when I go for work and not when I be with them. This puts me in immense pressure and I start getting easily burnt out trying to be the perfect parent. Can you please help me with this.

No matter what and even if are very powerful, sometimes my son asks me "do you love me even if I am bad " 🤣 My soon almost 4 years old son, refuses to eat all the time, I don't know what to do besides worry because he is very underweight. I sometimes wonder if he wants more Control of his own meal time. I wanted to give him more control by letting him decide whether or not he wants to eat, instead of keep telling him that he needs to eat before I put food away. It doesn't matter he is at school or home, he would not eat until he feels absolutely starving. Sometimes it is so hard to watch him not to eat all day until 9pm. I am still trying to figure out how to handle this 😪

This video made me cry because I have never been clear on what my job is as a parent. I have it so backwards.

4:56 that cost a lot of money.... Remember why many parents can't be consequent, the best versions etc.- they are struggling themselves to provide! And they are tired. This nice fairy tale doesn't work for everyone. This screwed up world is not functioning in benefit of families.
