Tip: dont make match fuse it is unreliable and firecracker will not blow up correctly. It will blow from the fusehole and reduce the sound same goes for lifts and salutes will not get ignited

1:17 you should never use open flame to make rocket fuel, it'll easily make hotspots in the can and ignite it.

Back in the old days cannon fuse was also made by filling goose quills with fine black powder then sealed with wax.

Hey dude. Here in Brazil a lot of fireworks have a kind of rigid, reddish/brick like color fuse that burn very consistently and even underwater. It's used mainly for firecrackers. They close the end of a little cardboard tube with sawdust and glue or a mix of brick and glue (?), put a teaspoon of flash powder in it, and then put this fuse, and the sawdust/brick mix around it. After dried it becomes very hard. And it explodes with a loud bang. I would like to find out the recipe to that fuse because it is a very good one. If you know something it would be great. Thanks!

And just a input, and some tips for the beginner, dry the fuse in the oven for 30min in 300˚ instead. And when you mix the components, dont let the sugar turn Brown/yellowish we dont want the sugar to turn caramel.

One thing I find amazing is that the potassium nitrate and sugar string is something I came up in my head when learning to make smoke bombs cause I couldn't be bothered buying a fuse online

The best method is wrap black powder in pvc plastic wrap, not too thick, not too thin, im sure it will burn like visco and waterproof, almost all pyrotechnist in my country used that method, try it and reply your result! Oh, and remember to stretch out your fuse for length
