*NEW* EXCITING 2021 RV ROADTRIP PLANS 🚙 RENOVATION WISHLIST + TOUR

SUPRISE!! We finally bought the Motor Home that I have been wanting to get for YEARS! We had been searching for the perfect rig since march of last year, and we have seen some pretty bad ones in that time.

This one is in good condition but It's not perfect, and there are defiantly some things that need to be renovated. I'm sharing some of to things I've picked up to organize this small space.

Some of our plans include exploring Florida in more detail and going on another cross country trip to see our family in Utah and California.

As someone who has spend months in living in an rv, make sure the things you have, have more than 1 purpose. It saves on space and less clutter.

I think you should add some greenery! Things like plants, succulents, flowers, etc will hopefully give it a fresher look!

We do have a 2004 rv since 2014. what we did: we sew new covers for the dinette, we put down all cutains, changed lamps to led. We changed mattresses as well.
Last thing we did was changing the toilet into a separating toilet. This was a great idea. We live in Germany an for Europe this toilet makes travelling much more easy!!

Maybe The peel and stick faux wood laminate flooring would be inexpensive and fairly easy to lay on top of the old laminate floor. I’d totally re-do the backsplash and paint the cabinets, replace carbines hardware and I’d try out the marble drawer liner trick on covering the countertop. I’ve seen that turn out gorgeous! ❤️ I bet you’ll find some fun ways to spruce it up.

We were full timers with 4 little kids for a couple of years. Something that we did to cheaply change out the cushions at the table was to use crib sheets to cover them. They fit almost perfectly on the bottom. You can also get protective crib covers so that spills don't ruin the cushions. We didn't bother with the back cushions, but I assume you could use use crib sheets on those too, they'd just fit looser. Maybe those clip on sheet things to keep your sheet from coming off in the back?

You probably won’t see this but if you don’t already, when you go to exciting places like how you’ve gone to the Grand Canyon. When you go you could have your kids learn about the place and do papers and stuff just as a fun learning way.

My mom called her first car "Norbie" which was short for "Norbert". :D It was a tiny white old Škoda. I'd probably use the RV inititals to name the RV. Something like Reginald Vincenzo Fudge. 😂 Then it's still the RV Fudge. In terms of interior design... The things you plan on doing sound good to me. It's gonna look really good when you use some lighter colors. There's a YT channel called the "The DIY Mommy" and she also renovated a RV. Maybe you can get some inspiration there, in case you don't know that channel yet.

Congratulations on the new to you RV! I'm sure you're all going to have a wonderful time wherever you go. With Covid still an issue, I probably won't get to take any overnight trips. However, I am planning a day trip in mid-spring to the Schulenburg area of Texas to see The Painted Churches, if they are open. I've always wanted to see them and they are really close to me here in Central Texas.

I would also put a light layer of white paint on the yellowed vent covers on the interior ceiling, just to freshen it up.
