Super 8 Sound Film to Digital Transfer Scanning Equipment

This video demonstrates Tobin Super 8 Sound Film Transfer Scanning Equipment. 18fps or 24fps true speed completely synced audio and video transfer.
Companies like Legacybox, Southtree & Kodak Digitizing Services (all the same company btw) do NOT transfer sound on your films.
Other companies transfer super 8 sound using standard sound projectors and video taping it off a piece of paper or a screen on the wall & speeding it up to 20FPS to eliminate the flicker from a camcorder which then alters the speed and pitch of the audio, so everyone sounds like the chip monks.
We transfer the film from the gate with a built in camera, no projection at all and the audio is captured from the magnetic audio capture source, so it sounds clear (if your audio was originally clear) and loud as can be, completely synced up, no lag, no drift.

How does the video get captured to the computer? Are you projecting against a wall or projecting into a macro lens on a camera?

If recorded with a good microphone and the film's mag stripe is in good shape, the sound on Super 8 film is not THAT bad.

I have some Fairchild Cinephonic 8mm sound film. The sound strip is on the track side -- the format is different from Super 8 sound. Are you able to digitize the sound from this type film? Do you know if I can play it in a reel to reel tape deck and get the sound off the film? thanks!
