McMahon definitely did PCH ads . I'm 73 Years old and distinctly remember him doing it . I have entered more of their drawings than I like to admit . I've never heard of the other company .

The Ed McMahon one is the most obvious one. It's literally in movies from the 90s-00s. Erin Brokovich has a line where the doorbell rings and she says, "Maybe it's Ed McMahon with a big check!" And then she opens the door to her boss, Ed Naseri. "Wrong Ed." I mean, come on.

I distinctly remember Publishers clearinghouse had Ed McMahon and I had never heard of American Family Publishers until this video.

Ed McMahon did publishers clearing gma got them in the mail all the time and she would always tease me about "That probably Ed McMahon calling me" or "don't answer the door unless it's Ed McMahon!" I remember him very clearly.

I know that it said "objects in mirror MAY BE closer than they appear." I remember being on road trips when I was a kid and reading that over and over again out of boredom.

The one that got me was Snow White where the mirror scene was always ‘Mirror, Mirror’.
But now they say it is and always has been ‘Magic Mirror’! I grew on Disney, went to Disney every year as a kid, seen the movie hundreds of times and it’s always been ‘Mirror, Mirror’! This convinced me that something is going on!

I distinctively remember Ed McMahon being involved with Publishers Clearing House. My wife remembers it exactly the same way. This is very strange.

I literally wrote a song when I was a teenager with the lyric "Ed McMahon comes knocking at your door, but you're not home" in reference to clearing house, the song being about having bad luck. That's hilarious.

Still cannot believe it was proven Fruit of the Loom was lying about there never being a cornucopia in their logo (someone was able to find clothes that still had it). Makes it really hard to say any Mandela Effect is wrong now.

Bugs Bunny used to say “Play it again Sam” too in cartoons of the era. That may be where the first mixup occurred

Here's a weird Mandela effect example, I could swear to God I can remember being happy, can't find any evidence of that now.

Casablanca is one of my favourite films and I'm a huge Bogart fan. The myth of "play it again, Sam" comes partly from a TV advert that spoofed the film. It's always been, "You played it for her, you can play it for me." No Mandela effect, just a misquote.

My biggest Mandela effect is Richard Simmons not wearing a sweatband. My sister just brought that to my attention 2 days ago and before she even said what it was she asked me what I remembered. She said "if you think of Richard Simmons what do you think of"? and I said "a curly haired guy in a tang top tucked into short shorts with a sweatband on his head around his poofy curly hair and matching sweatbands on his wrists. But guess now he never worn sweatbands? Like what the actual hell

Up until this video I've never even heard of 'American Family Publishing' and distinctly remember Ed McMahon being associated with 'Publishers Clearing House'.

I can't believe you haven't mentioned "the lion shall lay with the lamb" has been changed to "the wolf shall dwell with the lamb"

Dude, you're contributing.
It's JOAN JETT, not Joanne. Joan Jett.

Time is always being re-written. Your memories are fine. The problem is the time lines changing all the time.
