'Pick of the Day' - 1954 Telecaster 'Blackguard'

Trevor's Pick of the Day for today is another flavor of the ever-loved Blackguard Telecaster, this one specifically from 1954! This specific guitar weighs in a 6 lbs 12 oz, and has lovely wear along the body. The neck wear is particularly nice and comfortable. The pickups are nice and hot with a lively sound and quintessential bright 50’s twang, especially through the one-owner 1969 'drip edge' Fender Twin Reverb that we decided to plug this one into.

Lefty! - playing a right hand guitar no less. All my guitars have been lefties - never could get used to playing a right hand strung guitar. Nice Tele BTW!

I'll tell you what is nice; the string ferrules are all over the place on this '54...they are as well on my '55, so that's quite comforting.

Beautiful, wonderful playing! Delightful musicality, wow! 👌🏼 Lovely sound from both pickups! Is the neck pup original? If not, what is it?

Absolutely dreadful playing. Musicianship is non-existent.
