The most important variable that is often overlooked is this: not a value-add featuree, but the negative value of having another device requiring yet more time to fiddle with, manage apps, deal with charging constantly, buggy apps, synch management, more. We already manage other devices like computers, our phones, and this requires overhead. Often a smartwatch duplicates things that phones already do, but they still require management, synching (often failures/crashes), setup, and are relatively more cumbersome to manage. While they have benefits, even as an athlete by constantly tracking my stuff, I don't find the value exceeds the time required to manage another gadget. A simpler fitness watch with GPS and step monitor does the job with astonishingly less overhead, and that equals time, which is precious.

I really like my Apple Watch, for all those reasons. You are correct the biggest convenience is the notifications. Great use of "stock footage" pulled from ads. Awesome passing.

This is 2020 .. just got smartwatch from a gift.. the most recent one with sapphire glass .. but still I don't think it's worth .. I just don't get it .. the style is not great enough, the utility is also ordinary .. after a week im thinking of selling it 🙄

I've never worn watches. They actually irritate me because they feel too bulky on my wrist. I can only bare wearing smaller and much lighter bracelets.

Also, the taking it off to charge it at the end of every day and then take it off charge and put it back on the next day would drive me insane because charging my 2 phones and removing them and taking them with me everywhere I go is a big enough hassle to do as it is.
