Bettas need 5-10 gallons to live a long and happy life

Betta (not pronounced bai•ta) fish need a five gallon tank with good filtration. You must make sure that their tank has a Heater because they are tropical fish, or they could freeze. You need to provide them with lots if hiding spaces if all sizes, they prefer cramped space but obviously need a large tank. I dint recommend plastic decore-even thought its made for tanks the paint can be toxic. Avoid fake plants, especially the plastic ones. If you want plastic, go with silk plants. Use natural wood (found in any local pet shop) and buy aquatic fertilizer for the life plants. Make sure to give them stimulation because they are very intelligent!

Put that fish in a tank. They still need water filtration and aeration. They need to be 78-80 degrees for optimal living conditions as well. They need their water to be monitored for proper parameters (pH, nitrates, etc.).

I have a beta and I've never seen him do that before he sleeps on his leaf. If I seen him like that I'd be freaking out like he's dead. That's very unusual behavior to me I've never seen a beta do that before. To sleep. What a trip.

Don't worry! My 2 beta fish slept like that, they are both ok! But, since the water is dirty it can harm the beta so please clean its tank once in awhile.

I know why it's sleeping like that cuz it doesn't have an aerator it's saving oxygen while it sleeps.
