I'm 65 and I do 100 push-ups every other day. I do around 5 to 6 different exercises and 5 sets of 20 of each. Some mornings are harder than others but I always push through and feel good after the workout.
Strangely the last 40 push ups are easier than the first 60.
As you get older you have to keep moving.

I am 189 years old and yesterday I started doing 100 push-ups a day. Quite easy. Gotta stay in good shape

I had stopped exercising for years and years and years and at 38, found myself overweight with a couple of pushups as my limit.
Well I started exercising and now after about 6 or 7 months, I am back to doing 25 like in my 20's. I can do 3 sets of 25.
Aiming to get to 3 sets of 35 or so and perfecting other variations like incline, one handed and side pushups in the next few months now.

Starting with Knee Pushups. Im glad you mentioned this for newbies. This is how I started because I couldn't even do 5 proper push ups, and that demotivated me. I could do 10 knee push ups though and that was enough to get the journey started. Now I can do proper push ups

I'm 63 and decided after watching this video and reading the comments to jump in, I typically walk 2 to 3 miles 4 to 6 times a week in hilly terrain. I am adding sets of pushups and burpees to that. Today was 3 sets of pushups 20, 15, 15 with two minutes rest, then 3 sets of burpees 10 each set again two minutes rest between sets. My goal is 100 pushups and 45 burpees.

I’m 75 and just started on 100 push ups a day. As I’m unable to easily do these horizontally, due to ankle, hip and knee replacements, so I do them against the breakfast bar or a wall. Wide grip and narrow grip seems to work for me. No real struggle now after a month but initially, I felt that I would benefit from the exercise. No aches now and encouraged by the feeling I get.

I'm 56 and I'm doing 100 a day... together with walking 10, 000 steps a day and intermittent fasting 16/8 made me lose 10 kilos since January. My joints are fine, but I take a resting days once in a while to give my body some resting time.

This is great! I'm 48 and started yesterday. Doing 50 pushups a day. Can only do knee pushups starting out, doing 5 sets of 10. I am gonna do every other day to protect myself from any injuries but I'm excited about where this is going to take me. The comments left here have me stoked and hopeful I can improve after years of neglect! Wish me luck!

I’ve been exercising consistently for the past five years.I love doing pushups because I love to work out my upper body.I started out only doing ten at a time but now I can do two sets of forty which nearly kills me.Ive come a long way in my fitness journey and I take pride in my gains.

When I was in 7th grade and being small, I started doing pushups through the summer with the goal of adding every day. I stopped because we didn't have air conditioning and I got sick. 135 in good strict although fast.
2 years later in ROTC they had a pushup contest and I won with a total of 65, even though I hadn't done any in almost 2 years.
The human body is amazing designed to carry its own weight.
At the age of 40 I found myself so out of shape that my brother convinced me to buy a pull up rack.
When I first started I could only do 2. 6 months later I was doing 18 on my first rep which I never surpassed.
Now another 20 years later with my doctor's permission I am starting over. Great video

I see a lot of comments on older guys doing 100 pushups a day. In the Navy for our testing I did 100 pushups in 2 minutes. Here I am 56 and let myself go. You guys are an inspiration and I'm going to do this.

45 here. Started doing 5 a day in January. uped it to 6 on the sixth week of the year 7 on the 7th week and so on. In may i think i jumped up to 30 a day 2 sets of 15. Turned 45 the last week of june did 45 from that day on, 3 sets of 15. Then went to 60 at some point 3 sets of 20 . now up to 75, 3 sets of 25 every day. I feel great and rarely miss a day. Started very small but created the habit. The rest was easy. I could be doing it wrong but im gonna stick with it. Goal is 100 every day 4 sets of 25 probably the first week in October.

No one ever seems to talk about arm positioning. When I was 15, I started doing 500 push-ups a day in sets of 50. After three months, my chest had grown exponentially, but I never noticed until a friend pointed it out. The issue is that my triceps and biceps didn't grow. Now, 50 years later, I know why...arm positioning.
I did my push-ups with my arms at ninety degrees, severely depleting any heavy benefit to the arms. Arms should be at 45 degrees to your body for best results.

I'm a 45-year-old single father and my 5-year-old don't like going to the gym with me. So, I started doing pushups every day at home. I start out every morning doing 2 sets of 40 before work and do 2 more sets of 40 after dinner time. I'm also doing the 16/8 fasting. I've been doing this for about a month and feel great, all the pain I had in my joints are gone. My body fat is melting away and my chest and arms are starting to look good again.

I’m 42. I started in March walking uphill on the treadmill for 45 minutes each day. Before I start walking I start with 20 push-ups and then every 10 minutes I stop the treadmill and do a set of 20 push-ups. So 100. 4-5 days a week. Around the middle of June people started telling me I looked jacked and my size large shirts started not fitting anymore.

Now I start with a super set of pull ups (max) 15 push ups and 10 bicep curls. I do 3 sets and then do the tread mill workout. So now about 125 push-ups 4-5 times a week.

I’ve been slacking for a few years due to heart related issues. I’m 66 now and just getting back into workouts. So I might as well say I’m a beginner again.

I’m 54, diagnosed with PD in the last year. I turn out about 150-200 pushups five days a week. Dumbbells in between. I will dial it back to every other day to see if it helps for a couple months. Just looking to stay healthy and fit. Great video.
