316 - Eddie Van Halen - Tribute 6 (Alexander Palm - Guitar Cover)

The acoustic solo `316` appeared in 1991 on the album `For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge` and is dedicated to Eddies son Wolfgang (the numbers stand for his birth date). The music itself was written earlier, as Eddie plays it also in the beginning of his solo in ´Live Without A Net` (from 1986).
As you may all know Eddie was a rhythm genius. The piece - as easy as it sounds - can be heard in two different ways, which you can find out listening to Alex Van Halen`s drumbeat in the live recording mentioned above.

Very nicely played. Maybe the microphone could’ve been a bit closer to the guitar? Quite a live room sound, obscuring the sentiment a bit.
