Here's an initial analysis of what the Supreme Court ruled when it overturned Roe v. Wade.

I am a nurse, I realize that some medical proceedures are needed in order to save the life of a mother. I worked at a Catholic hospital. We have ethics commitees within the medical system for this. The supreme court is not a bilologis or a medical professional. That mother may need to live to raise 2-3-4-5 other children.

Millions of lives destroyed! You say you want the baby to live yet when the baby is born what will you do to help it. There’s plenty of people out their who are not only ready, but can die giving birth. You say adoption saves lives yet you haven’t adopted. You say put them in foster care yet you have no idea how hard and cruel the system is to childern. There are KIDS KIDS who have been sexually abused and assaulted and who are being forced FORCED to undergo the pain of child birth. Ya know this is just all ok until it comes to you. Until all this happens to YOU. And you would look back and want to change your decision about Abortion. But you can’t. It’s not about the baby. It’s about being controlled by not only a government but men.

This entire thing seems surreal. I am starting to wonder if "States Rights" went too far compared to having a consistent "Law of the Land"? Will different illegal abortion states make it a crime for a woman to leave their state and travel to another state to have an abortion? If some states can shorten the trimester time for abortion, can other states lengthen the trimester time?

The federal government will return each individual state the right to decide their own abortion laws for themselves. Pack and move accordingly.

Cant define a woman; but sure can control what they do with their don't understand why this is a government issue in the first place....I agree with the ruling just dont agree with the fact they have control over what women do in general; especially when they cant even figure out what a women really is...

It should of always been this way. States have the right to make their own laws.

Be prepared for taxes to go up for huge increases of support to state child welfare systems, group homes, mental health, more for state welfare programs and assistance, food stamps, etc.

I highly doubt states like Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma etc, are gonna give the money necessary for these programs

There are many opinions in this matter: all respectable. This is a decision that impacts woman, so they are the ones that should have the largest influence in this issue. But there is a small problem, we do not even know what a woman is in 2022!!!

I wonder whether this is a dangerous precedent for handing over power to States to decide our "medical" rights. For example should we choose the my body my choice principle when it comes to medical interventions, could this set a precedent to lose this right to the State? Just throwing it out there. Something reeks here when in the context of what we have seen over the past 2 years

Thumbs down for lack of specifics. Did SCOTUS merely uphold Dobbs ( which I found reasonable) or can any state ban any kind of abortion at any time ime, including therapeutic abortions?

The increase in birth rates will help staff wages deflate thus helping inflation, and more inmates means more volunteers during fire season

people will give up their kids for adoption cause they either cant take care of them, dont want a kid at the moment or isn’t ready to become a parent. This will result in taxes being raised, to help benefit these kids that are in these facilities.
