I ordered the plug in 50amp watch dog, but hardwired showed up, so ended up hardwiring it into my 5th wheel. I should check it. Appreciate the reminder 👍

Good tip. The fragile plastic threaded ring that retains the cable to the RV power inlet - if that is broken or missing the resulting bad connection can burn both the inlet and the cable. I found that out.

I had a trip yesterday on my Progressive. It turned out the 50A 90 degree strain relieve section had loose connections and rain water in it. It overheated and started to smoke before the protection tripped the breaker. I bought a new right angle dogbone and the problem went away.
