Easy Fix For RV Electrical Outlets Not Working//RV Living

I’m an RV enthusiast, with a family of six, who enjoys getting out camping on the weekends and taking some longer trips a couple of times a year. I’m into RV maintenance and system upgrades. It’s my goal to share about what I’m learning and what I’m working on.

I am not an RV technician or expert. My videos are primarily for (my) entertainment. Use any information I provide at your own risk.

My husband was just about to take the whole breaker and fuse box plate off to find out why the island and outdoor plugins weren't working. While he was taking the screws out, I was watching your video. I said, "STOP!" to him. He didn't want to but I insisted that he listen to me. (He's a loner. A rebel.😅) He listened and I told him what your video said and to go try the little red button up in the bathroom . Sure enough, the plugin power came back on in all zones! He came out of the bathroom, looked at me with a grin on his face, extended his hand to shake mine and said, "Good job."

We are fortunate to find this video! Who would’ve thought your 3 year old video saved our Saturday night OP Live TV show! Ours was in the bathroom just like you said but down at the middle of lower cabinet. I never saw the second outlet in the bathroom. Yet, we only had our grey wolf 20rdse for about 9 months and that equals 4th trip. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and sharing!!

I literally was saying how your video was useless for my fridge outlet outside not working, until I walked over to the bathroom and tripped the gfci and it turned back on 😆. Good job!

Worked. GFI in the bedroom knocked out the luggage compartment receptacles. 03 Fleetwood Expedition.

Thanks for this. I checked everything and couldn’t figure out why only GFCI outlets wouldn’t work and no reset. You just earned a new subscriber. Full time RVer here. My truck is Max and my trailer is Maggie.

I'm part of a forest river forum and one of the members sent me this video. It was such a bizarre thing when everything was working just fine then nothing works. I'm not electrical savvy, so I was Googleing trying fine a solution then I remembered I was part of a forum they helped and your video helped with further clarification.

Today my outlets were not working because I was running strictly on battery power and I didn't know why. Your video cleared that up for me and so now I can start looking for generator or solar.

Thanks for your help! I hooked up a new switch at the battery box. When I was testing everything I forgot to plug the RV back into the wall. The outlets were not working. Glad you called that out at the end of the video.

Thank you very much. Had the outlet taken apart and checked all fuses, breaker and nothing seemed wrong. But that worked and I was very happy, it gave me real peace of mind, first time buyer, used and thought it was going to be a lot to fix. I subscribed!

Thank you so much. My fridge stopped working and I thought I was going to have to call an Rv tech to come out. Not even one minute in you stated the one of the outlets may have been tripped and it was. Now my fridge is working. All I can say is thank you. My daughter, a young adult, trying to live on her own and a camper till she can save enough money to get something bigger, called me this morning with “the worst problem ever“. They had to run a small vacuum, and suddenly none of their outlets were working. Of course all we can see is $‘s in our head, and she got the speech about having money in the bank. Then, we got off the phone, I flipped on YouTube, Your video is the first one that I found, and less than two minutes later, this issue was fixed. These simple little videos are so helpful sometimes. I know this has saved her a significant amount of money for a house call from electrician. Thank you so much.

Thanks worked like a charm. Owned travel trailer for 3 yrs upgraded to 5th wheel for last 2 yrs never popped an outlet. Couldn’t figure out why the tv and outlets didn’t work. Well I learned something today. Thank you this video helped.
