When dealing with electromagnetism, there are a number of hand rules, to make sense of the directions of the various dimensions.
This video makes sense of all those rules

this makes so much more sense now. before I was completely lost looking at Krahn academy videos, people online trying to explain it in comments, googling, google images (sometimes that's easier to understand), and other things but this is the first thing I have understood. its even more amazing i was able to understand what hes talking considering i am in 7th grade and have only learned lab safety, planets, and scientific method, thanks to covid-19.

"As you can see, my middle finger is pointing towards you." 3:28

Why you gotta do us like that💀💀💀

Thank you so much for this explanation, you have just taught me more in a 10 minute video the my teacher in 5 weeks

why the magnetic field direction goes from North to South or from Pink to Blue @ 2:44?

You made a mistake when holding the coil. Magnetism does not flow TO the north pole, it flows to the south pole (which is what our so-called 'North pole' is, and which you later showed with the tubs). Please correct this error.

Can the "hand rules" be stated mathematically without any reference to the human hand?

Why is it that when a wire moves through a magnetic field the current will move one way, but if the current is forced in the same direction the wire will move in the opposite direction?

I dont know why but i wish you made the blue ice cream bucket North and the pink ice cream bucket South.

Excellent explanation! I especially like the palm rules - like you say, much more intuitive and easier to remember.
Thanks for posting.

Great video! ... Thank you ... note: Flemings left-hand rule appears to be a scientific way to "flip-off" the viewers. (:>0

Awesome video thanks so much sir, you’re a gentleman!
I just found your channel and I’m so excited! I was too proud and too much of a rocker in the 90s to even wanna pay attention in grade 9/10/11 physics. So I’m more than excited to have found your channel now, when I’m determined to understand the basics of physics.

I use *FBI* on my thumb, index and middle fingers to remember Flemming's hand rules, since those 3 letters conventionally represent the _Force (motion), Magnetic field & Current (induced) respectively_

Thanks sir I was earlier very confused in left hand and right hand rule but now it's totally clear nice explanation

thanks a lot, i wish i knew these rules better a decade ago, they would save me a few points & headaches. flemings was easier to visualize

Question about motors. When is maximum force experienced by a coil in a motor?
