Dave would know, for sure. See guys doing the same program incessantly, instead of stopping at 8 or 12 weeks to transition into the next phase. Like John has said many times, if progressive overload was the only key to hypertrophy, we'd all be benching 2000lbs.

This guy is dead on, been off and on in the gym over 10 years always seemed to lose that spark after about the 4-6th month. But now that I set goal(s) in my fitness journey I have been more consistent with my diet and workout regiment. I’m on month 5 now, my goal is to get down to 12% Body Fat. Highly recommend getting a scale that can read BF % (not accurate but you can still track your progression.

Wow. I always just trained but never hand an end goal. Goals really change the game in any aspect of life💪🏽❤️

I never think about this. Just do chest/bi's.. and repeat this over and over. Guess I have some catching up to do. :)

Im traning the baisics squat bench deadlift overhead press to get then up as im a novice the aim is to train for 8/12 months in a linear progrssion the GeySkull lp way . Yes i want muscle gains but my strength gains are nore important

I want and am still learing that if the 5 rep feels heavy its meant to feel heavy stop complaining and jacking in the set or 5 rep

I'm also learning that getting strong and big is not just a 1 month thing and eating is just as important as training being skinny

Can you come to my gym and show me what I am doing wrong

Bottom line - you need to train really to get stronger at ONE major compound movement at a time. Very difficult to get stronger in all lifts at once.

Unless of course you’re on the sauce then that’s another story

I don't necessarily find this advice helpful. It's actually not good for a lot of people.
