Renpy Tutorial #04: Basic GUI customization

Replacing an Icon is what will set my adult game apart from the rest! Im actually being serious about how excited I am to be learning these techniques, these are the best tutorials I have found for this and being a student of HTML, CSS, very little Java and SQL, you make learning Python with this super easy.

By the way, is there any chance we could change the whole main menu screen? For example, I want to change the position of the menu from the right to the center, or in my order?

Wow, your tuts are sooo helpful. I read the documentation before, but seeing you do this gives me... I dunno, confidence that I read it right? XD

I'm gonna try putting the gif image you made in #02 as my main_menu.png (my gif is waves rolling on the ocean). Also gonna try to make the 'start', 'preference', etc buttons as an hbox on the bottom of the screen.
What I'm trying to say is, this would've taken me at least a week to do by reading posts and asking questions on lemma, but now I think I can pull this off by tomorrow XD

I am currently working on a renpy android game and I'm stucked on the icons. The old icon method where you just put the image on the same layer the game folder is doesn't work anymore. Is there a new method?

What about the buttons under the gui dialogue box?? (Skip, load, save, etc.)

I tried searching on how to replace the text buttons with images and change the placement, but I cannot find any results

I have a problem: I made a custom textbox myself, but since I've used it, all of my text is hidden behind it. The textbox is partly transparent, so that's how I know. The text is definitely there, just located behind the textbox image. So, my question would be; is there a way to define that the textbox is re-located BEHIND the text, so it won't cover it anymore?

Hi! I'm trying to move my main menu in the center of the screen but when I go to the settings, the menu appear behind. Can I hide the menu? Sorry for bad english.

Is it possible to change the save thumbnail snapshot? It usually just takes a snapshot of your current position in the game and slaps that as the thumb for the save, but what about if you wanted a custom image instead of a snapshot.? Thanks.

hey i have a question about text font!
how do i get the font into the gui? i created a folder named "fonts" and dragged the font into it, then wrote in the command with the font name, but it came up as an error saying it couldn't find my font. any idea what i did wrong?

Can someone please tell me why theres little checkmark boxes by the files? I'd like to have that too.

great tutorial but unfortunately the only thing that keeps making an error is the fonts. it makes it like my whole games script is wrong. i go to default font and all is well... sure is tricky
