Wondering how to get your SRAM AXS setup and shifting perfectly? Well, you have come to the right place. Today we are inside Ridgeline Service where Joseph Warren will be sharing his tips and tricks in this full walkthrough of how to properly setup your SRAM wireless shifting. Keep in mind, this walkthrough will work for any of the AXS shifters, you will just have to double check that your model will support up to the 52t cassettes before setting your b-tension screw.

Best explanation of the micro adjust that I’ve seen yet. I’ll definitely be trying to use that to dial in my new GX AXS

One of the best videos showing how to setup AXS. I also reversed the controller buttons from stock.

This is one of the best repair videos I"ve seen (other than the bit about being able to independently adjust for each individual cog, which is not correct) -thanks!

As far as being able to adjust each cog. That was proposed to the SRAM AXS mobile forum a few years ago (SRAM website where you could ask for a new AXS function and people would vote if they wanted it). This particular request got shut down by a SRAM admin with the following answer: "If the derailleur hanger is non-damaged and the frame is designed to industry frame-fit specifications, trim position should not need to be tuned for individual cogs. That work is carefully completed by SRAM engineers as part of the cassette and rear derailleur design process."

Kind of a crock of you ask me. I know my gears would benefit greatly if I could adjust each one individually.

Important knowledge. This week I was riding and found I couldn't access my 2 lowest climbing gears. Not being TOTALLY ignorant I tried doing a micro adjustment but no improvement. At the end of the ride I found that the chain coming off my pulley was actually touching the cassette teeth when I shifted to the climbing gears. Next day I consulted with my bike tech son-in-law (in house free service!) and learned about the B adjustment. A couple of turns and everything was humming like new. He checked it with that plastic guage gizmo, spot on. The AXS tech is brilliant, though it helps if you actually UNDERSTAND it.

Awesome tutorial, learnt a lot about the AXS set up. Got my gears running so much smoother now. Very clearly explained. Thanks😊😊

in 2024 there is still a note on SRAM AXS website mentioning:"Note: MicroAdjust affects position across all of the cogs. There is no independent adjustment for each cog." so unfortunately, the information in the video is incorrect. I tested this on my eMTB as well and it's imposiible to retain a value in the app per different cogs, each will have the last modified value

Awesome video. Thanks for getting right to it and explaining everything so clearly. Just tuned up my AXS and it’s shifting awesome based on your video.

Unlike other instructional videos on the topic, this one is straight and to the point. :)
Luckily I didn't throw away my B-adjustment jig.
I have an AXS on my Specialized hardtail and an Eagle Transmission on my new Trek Top Fuel (this week). The Eagle-T has a little wonkiness in the 3rd cog that has it flirting with the 4th cog. So I'll see if I can micro adjust that back into tune.

This was very helpful. I unfortunately had to do a deep dive adjustment. But because of your explanation of all set screws I was able to get it pretty damn dialed in. 'thank you

Great vid! one question though, I think SRAM instructs to do the B screw sagged but you dont mention it or seem to do it - in fact I tend to not have much sag when adjusting as I feel the cage doesnt clear the big cogs fast enough if I do the adjust fully sagged?

Great video!! Same question about the micro adjustment on each cog, I don't see that anywhere and actually I need it. because the "general" microadjust fix things on smaller cog but it fucks up on the other end, and the other way around..

Switch the auto focus off or the Blur effect on the camera next time it just goes blurry on the derailleur as its focusing on your hand that's closest! Now this update set is cheaper alot more are getting it so be nice to see more of what the derailleurs doing
