SRAM Road AXS | How to: Adjust brake lever reach

With Reach Adjustment, no matter your hand size, finger length, or positioning preference, brake feel is always yours to define. In just a handful of simple steps, you can adjust the reach to your hand size:

1. Use a 2.5 mm Hex wrench.
2. Locate the adjustment bolt underneath the shift lever body.
3. Turn the reach adjustment bolt clockwise to bring the shift lever closer to the bar.
4. Check that the new reach adjustment is comfortable for your hand size.

Got this to work on my SRAM Rival eTap AXS. The adjuster bolt was screwed counterclockwise very hard. Once it was broken free then the adjustment was easy. Compounding the initial adjustment problem was that the lever needs to be pulled in a bit to get straight line access to the bolt, otherwise one is just spinning on the surface of the bolt head thinking its stripped out.

i need help. on my rival etap, its really hard to turn the screw to adjust the reach. i stop trying because i might break it. edit: left side adjust fine.

Will the length of lever pull be the same after adjusting? So if you adjust them in, are you going to hit the drops before engaging the brakes all the way?

my bolts on both levers wont turn when i try, should i apply more force, or is problem elsewhere ? im afraid if i try harder, ill damage bolt or something else

Even if you turn the screw all the way close to the bars, the levers are still too far if braking while on the drops. I manage to use them because i have large hands, but small handed people can't really brake properly while on the drops. This needs to be fixed
