Andy Phillips shows how to easily replace a broken wheel stud. These can break when lug nuts are too tight and pressure is needed to remove them. Driving with less than the amount required is dangerous; replacing them is needed.

Very clear instructions with warnings about what to be careful of along with explaining why we need to be careful of that. Very helpful!

Very good explanation
The problem is usually caused by places that repair punctured tires that over tighten the wheel nuts

This man just saved my life, snapped a stud doing a rotation and guess I didn’t know my own strength. Suppose I might need to invest in a torque wrench thingy

Great job as always. I always use a c clamp prior to removing the caliper. Makes it easier when it is still installed on knuckle. just a little push is all you need. Great video, nice & clear & to the point.

Thanks man I just had this problem took it to the shop. The guy tried to tell me it was gonna be every bit of $450. But I knew in the back of my mind that was crazy. He said it was a lot of labor involved . What’s the deal with some of these mechanics nowadays .
Thank you so much for the video.

Great explanation! Cherry on top was the 2nd angle of the wheel stud going through the back of the hub!
One thing that really caught my attention was using the rotor as a spacer to get the stud through. I would recommend using a bolt or thick washer of some sort rather than the rotor. Id be surprised if they had as much strength on the hub mating surface.

Great explanation. I have to go rent an impact though tomorrow so I can finish this. The 2 bolts holding on the bracket (not shown in this video) are being absurdly difficult to take out. Damn bolts won't even budge after WD-40 so impact will make a persuasive argument it can't refuse.

Nobody mentions using the rotor as a spacer to help pushing it through. Thanks!
