This video saved me SO MUCH MONEY. 600$ brake job I did myself for 215$ and I stripped a stud so this video helped me fix it 😂😂😂 thank you brother

Good video. But as a reminder, this only works for some cars.
Unfortunately, some car makers design the car so that if a stud needs replacing, you have to remove the entire rotor hub and wheel bearing just to replace it.

This is gonna be so helpful! I am currently fixing my first car (Pontiac G3 2010) My dad is helping me but accidentally broke one of these nuts on the rare wheel hub as we were changing the brake drums. This is gonna be so helpful

I came from google and it mentioned “never hammer it off, it’s the WORST thing you could do!”..and it’s the first thing he does 🤣 seems like the quickest and cheapest way to me, thank you!

Logs mostly break because people use impact guns on them.

Yes and MAKE SURE you put a spacer between the nut and the front of the stud or good luck taking the nut back off

Depends on the car. Most are goin to be easy like this. Some are not going to be easy. Some have really small space between the knuckle and the hub. You might have to pull the whole knuckle and use a hyd. press to press the whole hub out before being able to replace the studs.

The stud installer tool (I used the one by Lisle) worked great. Just some light machine oil on the stud and lug nut and a 24” long breaker bar was all it took to pull the new stud into place. No impact wrench needed. And that means I didn’t damage the lug nut that I’d used to pull the new stud into place.

Bro you saved me. I just pray I can find the right parts for a mx5 nb, the bolts are too rusty for my own piece of mind. One broke right off when I tried to remove one of the front wheels 😨.
