The real story is quiet different.

In the mail Emily mention it was his ex, mark wife who found out the truth when mark in his drunken state mention how he frame op and hope he's dead on the street.

After hearing all that she contact op dad and step mom step sister and tell them everything and that's when Emily somehow founds op old email id and send him the mail she also mention that op dad is been crying ever since he found out the truth

Op reply to Emily that he has no anger or happiness after reading the mail as he has close that chapter and is happy with his current life with his family and doesn't want any further contact.

What absolute positive nonsense. I think anyone who's even angry in this situation is mentally handicapped. This is 35 years ago. When he was 16! An attempt to "apologize" or reconcile is rude.
