Here's something *you* didn't know about Lake Placid: My mother worked at the Maine Dept. Of Fish & Wildlife head office and the producers contacted her, asking for sample of the Maine Game Warden uniform. She sent them the standard outfit--forest green button down shirt and cargo pants--but star Bill Pullman thought it looked stupid, so he decided to throw together his own wardrobe, dressing in a short sleeve tan shirt and blue jeans... A look that actual Maine game wardens said looked ridiculous and jokingly referred to as Bill Pullman Casual Friday. However, Brendan Gleason's County Sheriff uniform was actually accurate. The wardens who spent time with Pullman before the shoot found him to be quite obnoxious. Also, Pullman had previously spent time in Maine during the filming of Casper a couple of years before.

the older i get the more i appreciate the campy and horror flicks. even looking back decades, they are the ones that get to experiment and take risks. more and more blockbusters today are so predictable you'd think AI wrote them all. in fact, Wish coming out later (animated film) looks exactly like that.

This film is so underrated and I have no idea why. Great writing, perfect cast and very impressive effects. It's a lot of fun and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet!

Now ive said that, 1) watch Singles, and 2) Dolores CLAIMED she killed her husband with a skillet at first, but later confessed that the croc got him but she didn't want to say that so that she didn't get the croc in trouble

I remember going to the cheap theaters with some friends. We decided to watch "Entrapment". It was bad, so we decided to leave and walk down the hall to "Lake Placid" and were all surprised by how much we enjoyed it. Very fun movie.

One of my all-time favorite movies!! I haven't watched any of the other "sequels" nor do I want to. If all the same actors were in them then I would've. And of course, Betty White's lines were hilarious! I could never get sick of watching this movie. It is so underrated!!

Lake Placid is an All Time Classic. It's equal to Tremors and while not as great but still good fun "Eight Legged Freaks".
