Fascinating to see Seedmeme perform incredible feats of 90 degree isometric eccentric mental gymnastics to defend personal biases and never actually engage in the questions asked😅 Indoctrination at it's peak....

Zack, if you somehow manage to get Joel to change the way he works with his clients in the future, it would be more impressive than a 250kg Klokov Pause Front

"Traumatic?" Bro, our bodies adapt and can become resilient? Atg is natural, upside down bosu balls are not. This will be my first time hearing this dude. To me Joel is a meme.

"If your knees hurt going ATG, just give up."
The Joel Sneedman methodology

How do you even effectively and consistently train 90 degrees when you can be off by several degrees between reps? With full rom there is no uncertainty and inconsistencies.

The mental gymnastics this guy goes through every time to answer zacks questions is hysterical. This guy can’t even directly answer a question. Honestly I’m torn between whether Joel seedman is just a liar or an idiot, maybe both

Honestly, this guy is good at talking his way out of things. I absolutely expected him to get defensive and tripped up. I’m twenty mins in and had I not known the content that he’s put up, I would’ve thought oh he’s pretty reasonable. He’s got the gift of gab for sure.

This was such a cathartic experience, props to you for doing your homework and bringing great arguments to this debate! It was incredibly satisfying seeing him weasel out of so many of his insane positions, excellent work!

ZT you did a great job calling this guy out. I've always disliked when ppl speak in absolutes. His main argument was that full ROM squats are injurious and ineffective yet he said at least 3 times that the way YOU were implementing them was smart and good. Which is it? I think deep down he knows the truth but in today's world being edgy and controversial sells

I think Joel is a perfect example of someone who overthinks everything.

Oftentimes, the best and most effective things in life are the simplest.

What I got from this pretty much confirms my take on Joel.

Go anywhere in the world and you’ll see people spending large portions of their lives seated in a deep squat position. Working, eating, resting, they’ll lift objects from that position and they’ll do it their entire lives. At some point a small school of western trainers decided that deep squats with flared toes were bad. Make it make sense.

It's how he sticks by "ATG is the most injurious" and then later makes the implication that ATG's injury rates are dependent upon a coach's implementation of them (a complete flip-flop in philosophy on the ATG). My strategy with debating this man would be using instant replays to show him the things he's said earlier in the podcast and the things he's currently eluding to at that moment in the conversation. I can't think of any other way to get someone like Seedman to look closely in the mirror and acknowledge his hippocritical habits.

I think it's so sick that Zack came into this video call with chalk on his hands like the absolute legend he is in his natural state.

Forget about the load, we must continue to go full depth. That’s how are bodies are when we’re young, and we loose as life happens cause we too busy sitting in chairs. If you don’t practice to get your body in full range of motion, you’ll loose it. It should be part of a longevity program.

As a powerlifter and a discus thrower, I break parallel when I train for powerlifting. I have found it more beneficial when track season rolls around I squat down to a bench just above parallel. It takes all the tension off the knees and lower back. As a thrower, there is no need to go ATG because throwers generate most of their power from a half squat position, and flexibility in the hips and speed is much more important. I would say the same for golfers, batters, pitchers etc
