I never honk at a learner, even if they cut me off or something like that. I know how traumatic it can be to sit in the drivers seat in traffic for the first time.

I’ve just passed my test a few weeks ago and I swear the amount off times I was beeped at while I was learning was insane all because I was a safe driver and not rushing

“Don’t worry about it.” That’s something I still struggle with even though I’ve been driving for over 10 years. It just always gets me anxious when people honk while I wait to pass. I actually don’t stall long and yet I still feel anxious when they do that.

Just ignore them.
Beeping at a stop/lights, flashing and tailgating on the motorway while you are already faster than the slower lane next (and around or past speed limit).
Ignore them all. They are irrelevant. Slow down or put fog lights on (illegal) if their tailgating feels dangerous.

As a bus driver this instructor is absolutely brilliant here. Impatient drivers beep when someone doesn't pull away. They have no idea what is happening in the vehicle in front. I broke down at a junction and the car behind didnt leave enough room to get around and had to wait for 10 other cars driving around before he could reverse back from the bus

Hate people who beep at learners. Ill intentionally go out my way to give them room and let them learn but some people are just rude and wont.

I would love for you to teach me how to drive. At 33 I'm only getting more and more anxious unfortunately.. and the Dutch teachers do not have any patience sadly.

I'm currently a learner, and my mantra is "I am driving carefully and lawfully, and if other people are annoyed, that's not my problem." Ups to this instructor!

I once got honked at when I'd only been driving for two years. I was young and a "goody two shoes" so I panicked and just accelerated into the road even though I couldn't see if anyone was coming because of the semitruck beside me. It was really stupid and I'm glad you're teaching your students to not care about other people's recklessness.

I feel like people who have been on the road for years forget that everyone has to start driving somewhere... so annoying that people have no patience
