I keep freshwater, but I only do a 10% water change once a month because of how my tank is set up. I wouldn't suggest people do that unless you know your tank well enough to be able to predict the times that parameters will go off balance. I have small tanks: 2, 12 gallons, a 5 and a 2.5, but I'm out to prove to the freshwater community that bigger isn't always better and a small tank can be just as easy to maintain under the right circumstances. ❤

I used to do water change every week but then I noticed every time I did that corals wouldn’t open or looked sad now I’m doing it every two weeks and they’re doing great!

I hear this all the time and it really depends on your livestock. Keep Softies only? Probably never need to change it hardly as they love that type of water. LPS, yes, you need to do them at least once a month, SPS I suggest weekly unless you are dosing all the elements, aminos, etc and I would still change it. Water chabges are an easy way to ensure success.
