This is the forty second instalment of the remastered Lorcan Film Unit Videos. There is a total of 10 hours worth of film that we hope to publish over time. Unfortunately Leslie Crowe who was the Director and creator of much of this content is no longer with us. So we are hoping to get your help to figure out the places and the names of the people he captured.

If you turn on the Closed Captions "CC" on the video to see what we know about the footage so far.

Amazing footage, you can also see the power station chimney across the fields in Ballymun at 2:50.

At 0:25, this field was known as Brockin's Field; it was at the back of Magenta Crescent and Magenta Hall. The Oakpark estate and the N1 road now cover part of it. The houses in the distance are in Lorcan.
At 0:36, I'm guessing at some of the names: from right to left, the blond girl may be Linda Curtis; next could be Bernadette Devine; I'm not sure about the next two; the small girl standing behind the lamppost is Caroline Taylor; I don't know the final one. The location is Magenta Crescent.
At 0:41, on the left, is Esther Corrigan, on the right Caroline Taylor,
At 0:45, on the left is Declan Wilson, and on the right, I think, is Tony Taylor, both from Magenta Crescent.
At 1:53, that's Paddy Harris outside of his house, No. 1 Magenta Crescent.
At 2:16, that could be the thatched cottage at Dardistown near Dublin Airport; it's just before the entrance to the Dardistown Cemetery.
At 2:36, the electrical substation at the end of School House Lane, Santry,
At 2:42, the old church hall in School House Lane the main entrance to it was from Church Lane; behind it was the vicar's house and then St. Pappins Church. We used to call this place The Bond after the man who looked after it; I don't think his name was James.
At 2:55, Kelly's cottage was on the corner of School House Lane opposite the Swiss Cottage Pub; this cottage is now the front part of Meagher Pharmacy Santry.
At 3:23, this mile-marker was on the Swords Road, on the hill just past where McDonald's, Omni Park now is.
